Bret William Iwan (born September 10, 1982) [2] is an American voice actor and illustrator. He has been the fourth and current voice of Mickey Mouse following the death of Wayne Allwine in May 2009. [3]
Bret William Iwan was born on September 10, 1982, and raised in Pasadena, California; he is the son of Bill and Fiona Iwan. [2]
He attended LeRoy High School in Le Roy, Illinois, from 1996 to 2000. [4] He graduated from the Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida. Iwan eventually got a job as an illustrator at Hallmark. [5]
Iwan was hired to voice Mickey Mouse and replace Wayne Allwine after the latter died on May 18, 2009. [3] Iwan had previously understudied for the role when Allwine was facing health difficulties and Iwan credits Allwine's archival work as providing excellent mentorship. [6]
Iwan first recorded Mickey Mouse dialogue for the Disney's Animal Kingdom theme park as well as the 2009 shows Disney On Ice: Celebrations and Disney Live: Rockin' Road Show. [7] He voiced Mickey Mouse in Have a Laugh! . He gave his first full performance as Mickey Mouse for the English version of the PlayStation Portable game Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep . He also gave his voice performance as Mickey Mouse in the Epic Mickey games.
His first voice-over work in a Disney Park could be heard in the Animal Kingdom closing show "Adventurers' Celebration Gathering" as well as on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover attraction at the Magic Kingdom in which, upon passing through Mickey's Star Traders, Mickey responds with his signature laugh and says: "That's right, it's outta this world!".
Iwan is openly gay, making him the first openly LGBTQ+ actor to voice Mickey Mouse. He married his longtime partner, art director Douglas Hoffman, in July 2021. [8]

Mickey Mouse is an American cartoon character co-created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks. The longtime icon and mascot of the Walt Disney Company, Mickey is an anthropomorphic mouse who typically wears red shorts, large shoes, and white gloves. He is often depicted alongside his girlfriend Minnie Mouse, his pet dog Pluto, his friends Donald Duck and Goofy, and his nemesis Pete.
Wayne Anthony Allwine was an American voice actor, sound editor and Foley artist. He was best remembered as the third official voice of Mickey Mouse in English and the first official casting following the establishment of Disney Character Voices International in 1988. To date, he holds the record for the longest-running voice actor to play Mickey Mouse, having performed the role for 32 years. He was notably married to Russi Taylor, who voiced Minnie Mouse.
Tony Anselmo is an American voice actor and animator. He has been the official character voice of Donald Duck since 1985 following the death of the original voice actor, Clarence Nash. He has also provided voices for Donald's triplet nephews, Huey, Dewey, and Louie.

Mickey's Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse is a 2001 animated direct-to-video Christmas comedy fantasy crossover film produced by Walt Disney Television Animation, with the animation production being done at Toon City Animation in Manila, Philippines. It is the first of two direct-to-video films spin off from the Disney Channel animated television series House of Mouse, the other being Mickey's House of Villains. The events of the film take place during the second season of House of Mouse.
Paul Rudish is an American animator, storyboard artist, writer, and voice actor, originally known for his art, writing, and design work at Cartoon Network Studios on series created by Genndy Tartakovsky. The Prince and the Pauper is a 1990 American animated comedy action-adventure featurette produced by Walt Disney Feature Animation and directed by George Scribner. Featuring the voice of Wayne Allwine as Mickey Mouse, it is inspired by Mark Twain's 1881 novel of the same name. It was Disney's final use of the traditional ink-and-paint and camera process for a theatrical product, before the CAPS digital-ink-and-paint process rendered the traditional techniques and equipment obsolete. Some objects, such as the carriage, were created on computers before being printed out on paper and photocopied onto animation cels. The animation was given a watercolor look and based on Disney's style from the late 30s, influenced by Fred Moore.

Have a Laugh! is an American animated comedy series produced by the Walt Disney Company for the Disney Channel. The series is a set of interstitials, presenting edited versions of classic Mickey Mouse cartoons that lasted from 2009 to 2012. The soundtracks were re-arranged by Mark Watters, orchestrated by Steven Bernstein and re-recorded at the Eastwood Scoring Stage, Warner Bros. Studios.
Mickey's PhilharMagic is a 4D film attraction found at several Disney theme parks around the world, including Magic Kingdom theme park at the Walt Disney World Resort, Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Park (Paris), and Disney California Adventure. The film was directed by George Scribner, who also directed Disney's 1988 animated film Oliver & Company. Mickey's PhilharMagic is a 12-minute-long show featuring 3D effects, scents, and water, as well as a number of characters from Disney movies. Mickey Mouse Funhouse is an American animated preschool children's television series created by Phil Weinstein and Thomas Hart and is the successor to Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures. The series debuted on Disney Jr. on August 20, 2021. In October 2021, the series was renewed for a second season which premiered on November 4, 2022. In June 2022, the series was renewed for a third season which premiered on February 23, 2024.

It is the second spin-off special of Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures after Mickey's Tale of Two Witches. The events of the film take place after the final episode of the series.
Mickey and Friends Trick or Treats is a musical stop-motion Halloween television special which premiered on October 1, 2023. It was released simultaneously on Disney Channel, Disney Junior, and Disney XD. It is produced by Disney Television Animation. It is the fourth spin-off special of Mickey Mouse Mixed-Up Adventures, following Mickey's Tale of Two Witches, Mickey and Minnie Wish Upon a Christmas, and Mickey Saves Christmas, and the second made in stop-motion after this last one.
