Brunei, officially the Nation of Brunei, the Abode of Peace is a country located on the north coast of the island of Borneo in Southeast Asia. Apart from its South China Sea coast, it is completely surrounded by the Malaysian state of Sarawak. It is separated into two parts by the Sarawak district of Limbang. Brunei is the only sovereign state entirely on Borneo; the remainder of the island is divided between Malaysia and Indonesia. As of 2020, its population was 460,345, of whom about 100,000 live in the capital and largest city, Bandar Seri Begawan. The government is an absolute monarchy ruled by its Sultan, entitled the Yang di-Pertuan, and implements a combination of English common law and sharia law, as well as general Islamic practices.
Bandar Seri Begawan is the capital and largest city of Brunei. It is officially governed as a municipality. Bandar Seri Begawan has an estimated population of 100,700, and including the whole Brunei-Muara District, the metro area has an estimated population of 279,924, over half the population of the country.
Brunei-Muara District or simply Brunei-Muara is one of the four districts of Brunei. It has the smallest area among the four districts, with 571 square kilometres (220 sq mi), yet is the most populous, with 289,630 people as of 2016. Bandar Seri Begawan, the country's capital, is located in this district, which is also de facto the district's capital. It is also home Brunei International Airport, the country's only international airport, as well as Muara Port, the main and only deep-water port in the country. The Brunei River flows within this district and is home to Kampong Ayer, the traditional historic settlement on stilts above the river.

The Johor Bahru Prison, in Johor Bahru, Johor, Malaysia, was opened in 1883 to incarcerate criminals in the State, as well as those who revolted against the British colonial government. Adina binti Othman, officially Datin Paduka Dayang Hajah Adina binti Othman, styled in Malay as Yang Mulia, is a Bruneian bureaucrat. She served as the Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports between 2010 and 2015 and was the first woman in Brunei to hold the position of the deputy minister.
Kampong Tungku is a village in Brunei-Muara District, Brunei, about 10 kilometres (6.2 mi) from the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The population was 1,689 in 2016. It is one of the villages within Mukim Gadong 'A'. The postcode is BE2119.

Kampong Imang is a village in the south-west of Brunei-Muara District, Brunei. The population was 16 in 2016. It is one of the villages within Mukim Pengkalan Batu. The postcode is BH2623.
