The Royal Brunei Police Force, RBPF (Malay : Polis Diraja Brunei (PDB) is in charge of keeping law and order in Brunei. The RBPF has been one of the 190 members of INTERPOL, an intergovernmental organisation worldwide since 1984.
With a force of more than 4,400 officers, the RBPF is responsible for keeping law and order and providing law enforcement services. The mandate for the RBPF in keeping the law in the Sultanate of Brunei Darussalam includes the prevention, detection and investigation of crime, collection of criminal intelligence, traffic control, escort duties (VIPs, cash, prisoners), sea and border patrol, public order, riot as well as public event control. On 4 February 2009, the RBPF officially opened the Police Museum Gallery in conjunction to its 88th anniversary. [29]
The Legislative Council of Brunei is a national unicameral legislature of Brunei. The council comprises 36 appointed members, that only has consultative tasks. Under Brunei's 1959 constitution, His Majesty Hassanal Bolkiah is the head of state with full executive authority, including emergency powers since 1962. The Council holds its sitting annually in March at the Legislative Council Building in Bandar Seri Begawan.
Pengiran Anak Saleha is a member of the royal family as the wife of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah. She is the daughter of Pengiran Anak Mohamed Alam and Pengiran Anak Besar. After her husband was crowned as the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei, she succeeded her mother-in-law, Pengiran Anak Damit, as Raja Isteri. She is the mother of Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah.
The Pingat Hassanal Bolkiah Sultan is an honorary medal of Brunei. The award is subdivided into two classes: the first class Darjah Pertama and the second class Darjah Kedua.
Pengiran Anak Mohamed Alam, sometimes spelled Muhammad Alam, was a nobleman, magistrate and politician who became the fourth Speaker of the Brunei Legislative Council from 1971 until 1974 and Chief of Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara from 1954 to 1981. He is the father of Pengiran Anak Saleha, the queen consort of Hassanal Bolkiah, the current Sultan of Brunei. He was also a maternal grandfather of Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince.
The Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien College (SOASC), natively known as Maktab Sultan Omar 'Ali Saifuddien (MSOAS), is a government boys' secondary school in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of Brunei. It is the first English secondary school in the country. The school is also one of the only three boys' secondary schools nationwide, with the other two being Muda Hashim Secondary School and Ma'had Islam Brunei. The school provides five years of secondary education leading up to GCE 'O' Level and IGCSE qualification.
The Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei, also translated as The Most Blessed Order of Loyalty to the State of Brunei, is an order of Brunei Darussalam. It was established on 29 November 1959 by Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III.

The Most Distinguished Order of Paduka Seri Laila Jasa, also translated as The Most Distinguished Order of Merit of Brunei, is an order of Brunei. It was established in February 1964 by Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III.
The Prime Minister's Office is the leading and largest cabinet-level ministry in the government of Brunei. It serves as the immediate office of the country's prime minister, as well as oversees several key government departments. It was established immediately upon Brunei's independence on 1 January 1984, with Hassanal Bolkiah, the current Sultan of Brunei, being the first and only prime minister to date. The leadership also consists of a Senior Minister, introduced in 2005 and has since been held by the Crown Prince Al-Muhtadee Billah, a Special Advisor to His Majesty, as well as in-house ministers and deputy ministers.
Pengiran Anak Abdul Aziz is a nobleman and formerly a police officer from Brunei who previously served as the Controller of the Royal Customs and Excise of Brunei, member of the Royal Succession Council, member of the Royal Council, and the Chief of Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara. He was one of the concept contributors for the change in the name of the Police Force to the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) as a Royal Dignitary, a State Dignitary, and a Member of Councils. Notably, he also made changes to the flag, the pattern, and the uniform color of the department's officers and staffs during his tenure as the Controller of the Royal Customs and Excise.
The Privy Council is a formal body of advisers to the monarch of Brunei. When His Majesty appoints people to posts with traditional ranks, titles, and honours, the council provides advice.
Pengiran Muhammad Ali bin Pengiran Haji Muhammad Daud, simply known as Pengiran Ali, was a Bruneian nobleman, teacher and politician whom formerly held the position of Deputy Menteri Besar from 1962 to 1965, Legislative, Executive, and Privy Councils. He emphasised the significant impact he played in Brunei's history, notably from the 1950s to 1960s, and was also the first of the "three M's" that the British government dreaded.
Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambali is a Bruneian police officer who serves as the incumbent police commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) since 2021.
Abdul Hamid bin Bakal was a Bruneian nobleman and Muslim scholar who held several high-ranking and important positions in the Government of Brunei.
Hasrin bin Haji Sabtu (born 25 February 1954) is a Bruneian nobleman, politician and former police officer who served as the police commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) from 2011 to 2013, and member of Legislative Council (LegCo) from 2017 to 2022. Notably, he is the president of Retired Personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force Association (POLSARA).
Ya'akub bin Haji Zainal (born 5 July 1941) is a Bruneian nobleman, politician and former police officer who served as the police commissioner of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) from 1997 to 2001, and member of Legislative Council (LegCo) from 2011 to 2015. Notably, he is the advisor of Retired Personnel of the Royal Brunei Police Force Association (POLSARA).
Pengiran Anak Idris is a Bruneian nobleman and member of the royal family who became the prince consort to Princess Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam in 1972, the daughter of Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien III. He is the current Chief of Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara, a member of the Privy Council of Brunei, and assistant chairman of Adat Istiadat Council, and Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah's board of governors.
The Jabatan Adat Istiadat Negara is a government department under the Prime Minister's Office that functions to guarantee the constant maintenance of Royal Customs. It has been translated literally as the Office of State Customs, the Department of the State Customs or the State Department of Customs and Traditions, even though it does not have an English name. In order to guarantee that the practice and implementation, particularly the Istiadat Diraja, are always in accordance with the philosophy of Melayu Islam Beraja, preaching and teaching the public through lectures, briefings, and workshops on Adat Istiadat (Customs) are regularly held.
