Buletin iNews is an Indonesian flagship news programme which broadcast on GTV, replacing Buletin Indonesia from 2012 to 2017. [1] The program broadcast for three to four hours each day through Buletin iNews Pagi (breakfast news), Buletin iNews Malam (late night news), Kilas iNews (headline news), and Breaking iNews (breaking news, different coverage with iNews). RCTI is a West Jakarta-based Indonesian free-to-air television broadcaster. It is best known for its soap operas, celebrity bulletins, news, and sports programmes. It was first launched in 1989, originally as a local pay television operator that broadcasts mostly foreign programmes, before switching to free-to-air terrestrial network a year later.
Seputar Indonesia was Indonesia's longest-running flagship newscast carried by a private television network. It debuted for the first time on the newly inaugurated RCTI on 15 November 1989 as the local news program Seputar Jakarta, as well as the network's first newscast before it evolved to go nationwide on 15 November 1990. Since the end of 2005, the program has regained its position as the most-watched newscast in the country, according to ratings by Nielsen Media Research. During its early years, Seputar Indonesia was also carried by RCTI's then sister network SCTV.
PT Global Informasi Bermutu, operating as GTV, which is an initialism derived from its previous name, Global TV, is an Indonesian free-to-air television network. It was launched on 8 October 2002. Originally a music television channel as MTV broadcaster in Indonesia and Asia, it was one of the first television network in the world to broadcast MTV for 24 hours a day free-to-air over UHF. GTV shifted its focus to general entertainment programming targeting young adults. Currently, the broadcaster airs news, soap opera, reality and game shows, along with Nickelodeon animation series and anime, making up its programming schedule. It is owned by Media Nusantara Citra (MNC), which also owns RCTI, MNCTV and iNews.
PT Indosiar Visual Mandiri, commonly known as Indosiar, is an Indonesian over-the-air television broadcaster, established on 19 July 1991, with test broadcasts commencing on 18 December 1994, and officially launching on 11 January 1995. PT Duta Visual Nusantara Tivi Tujuh, operating as Trans7 or TRANS7 in all caps is an Indonesian free-to-air television network owned by Trans Media, a part of Trans Corp, which in turn is a subsidiary of CT Corp. The channel was officially launched as TV7 on 25 November 2001 at 5:00 PM local time. The final transmission and broadcast aired on 15 December 2006 at 19:00 WIB. The network was then sold by Kompas Gramedia Group and the new owners changed the name from TV7 to Trans7.
PT Media Televisi Indonesia, operating as Metro TV, is an Indonesian free-to-air television news network based in West Jakarta. It was established on November 25, 2000, and now has over 52 relay stations all over the country. It is owned by Surya Paloh who also owns the Media Indonesia daily.
