Burning Empires is an EP from VNV Nation. It contains remixes and alternate versions of tracks from their popular album Empires , plus the "Standing" single. It is a limited edition release of 4,700 copies. [1] The album was made available on the iTunes Music Store, as well as on Napster and Amazon MP3 Downloads.

"Further" and "Radius²" were the only entirely new tracks on Burning Empires. "Lastlight" was a remix of "Firstlight"/"Arclight" from Empires. The exclusive version of "Savior" has a full vocal track (the previously released album version is an instrumental).

A cover of "Further" by the band LifeForce was used in the video game Iji, and while not released on any CD, it was made available for public download.

"Standing" was ranked #1 on the German Alternative Charts (DAC) Top 100 Singles of 2000. [2]

Leæther Strip is a Danish musical project founded on 13 January 1988 by Claus Larsen. Its influence has been most felt in the electronic body music and electro-industrial genres. For distribution outside of Europe, the music has been licensed to the U.S. labels Cleopatra Records and Metropolis Records. Straftanz was a German electronic dance music project, established in the summer of 2006. Straftanz consisted of a loose group of artists who called themselves the Straftanz ZK. Additional artists involved were Carsten Jacek (SITD), Mille Petrozza, and Myk Jung who were involved in the recording of the first album Forward Ever. Straftanz also collaborated with the futurepop project Rotersand by way of sharing ideas and equipment. In interviews, Straftanz described its musical style as "Industrial-Streetfighting-Dance".
