Automatic is the eighth studio album by the alternative electronic artist VNV Nation, released in 2011. It was released on 16 September 2011 in Europe, and 25 October 2011 in North America. [6]

The band describe the album as being quite melodic, except for the track "Control", which is said to be a more club-sounding track. They have even described the album as being their favourite so far.

In the first week of release the album went straight into the German mainstream Media Control charts at number 8, the band's first top ten hit, spending 3 weeks in the chart; no. 66 in Austria, charting for 1 week; no. 77 in Switzerland, charting for 1 week; and no. 50 in Sweden, charting for 1 week. [7] It also went to number 1 in the Deutsche Alternative Charts, a position it occupied for 4 weeks.

"Control" was released as a free-download prior to the album's release. Although not being an official single, "Nova" received radio air-play in Germany. [8]

War Tapes is an American rock band formed in Los Angeles, California in 2006. The band has played shows and toured across the US and in the UK with The Smashing Pumpkins, Tiger Army, Shiny Toy Guns, Moving Units, The Bravery, Longwave, VNV Nation, She Wants Revenge, Mark Burgess of The Chameleons, Elefant, Jonathan Richman, and The Unseen. The Limousines are an American electronica band based out of California's San Francisco Bay Area. Made up of multi-instrumentalist/producer Giovanni Giusti and songwriter/vocalist Eric Victorino, the duo formed in 2007 and has since gained international fame, thanks in part to the release of their singles "Very Busy People" and "Internet Killed the Video Star". Their first full-length album, Get Sharp, was released July 27, 2010 to critical acclaim. Straftanz

Straftanz was a German electronic dance music project, established in the summer of 2006. Straftanz consisted of a loose group of artists who called themselves the Straftanz ZK. Additional artists involved were Carsten Jacek (SITD), Mille Petrozza, and Myk Jung who were involved in the recording of the first album Forward Ever. Straftanz also collaborated with the futurepop project Rotersand by way of sharing ideas and equipment. In interviews, Straftanz described its musical style as "Industrial-Streetfighting-Dance". In fact, the sound of Straftanz is best described as a mixture of EBM, futurepop, trance, rave, metal, and rhythm noise elements that are tied together with a present dance groove.

81db is a band based in Italy that was formed in April 2006 by the Greek guitarist Kostas Ladopoulos. As he stated in the band's first interviews, the musical idea was to try to combine a new alternative rock/metal sound by mixing melodies and heavy guitar riffs with folk elements derived from Kostas’ Greek origins. The current members of the band are Kostas Ladopoulos, Filippo Capursi (Drums), William Frodella (Vocals), Vieri Pestelli (Bass). The band had their debut album out on 2009 through Orion’s Belt Records and published by EMI in Italy and distributed by Minos EMI in Greece. They are currently working with the producer Sylvia Massy for their upcoming release of 2011.

Last Curtain Call is the final release & concert ever by Norwegian gothic metal band Theatre of Tragedy. It is released both as a DVD with an audio CD included and as a separate double album. It was recorded live in the band's hometown, 17 years to the day they formed. This release was only possible due to the after the label refused to cover all the expenses, forcing the band to resort to fundraising, which according to the band's site was 10,000 Euros were given by the label, 10,000 Euros by the band itself and 4,000 Euros, with the help of fans.
