Timbiriche was a Mexican pop music group. The group started as a children's group in 1981 and managed to evolve successfully into adulthood.
Alcanzar una estrella is a Mexican telenovela first broadcast on Canal de las Estrellas in 1990. Also broadcast in Latin America and on Univision in the United States, the telenovela tells the story of an introverted girl's infatuation with her teen idol. The leading roles were played by singers Mariana Garza and Eduardo Capetillo, ex-members of the Mexican pop band Timbiriche. The two also sang the theme songs, which were written by Ricardo Arjona. Arjona and other singers such as Patricia Manterola also made acting cameos. The story was produced by Luis de Llano, producer and manager of Timbiriche and Garibaldi, and written by actress Rita Macedo, de Llano's mother. Alcanzar una estrella turned out to be Macedo's last credit as an actress before she committed suicide in the mid-1990s.

Brissia Daniela Mayagoitia Orta better known as Brissia is a Mexican singer, reality television star, and actress. She gained national popularity in Mexico during her childhood as a singer on reality TV and later as a member of Mexican pop band La Nueva Banda. Mayagoitia left the band to become a solo artist in 2008. The remaining band members continued without her, but split in the spring of 2009. In 2023, the band reunited for a series of concerts across Mexico as part of the El 2000's Pop Tour. She rejoined the group in 2023.
Sergio Villa, better known as Sergio was a contestant on the Mexican reality show Buscando a Timbiriche, La Nueva Banda where he was one of 30 participants made up of 15 boys and 15 girls ranging in ages from 15 to 22. The contestants all lived in the "Escuela Timbiriche" in order to compete to become one of 7 members of the new band. Sergio, however, was eliminated from the show in the October 14, 2007 finale. Sergio was 21 years old at the time he was a contestant. He was born in Mexico City.
Gabriela Sánchez, better known as "Gaby Sánchez", is a Mexican singer and model. She was a contestant on the 2007 Mexican reality show, Buscando a Timbiriche, La Nueva Banda and is a member of the pop group, La Nueva Banda Timbiriche.
Flavor of Love Girls: Charm School is the first season of the VH1 reality show Charm School. It is a spin-off of Flavor of Love created by the producers of The Surreal Life and Flavor of Love spin-off I Love New York. It is hosted by comedian actress Mo'Nique, assisted by talent agency president Keith Lewis and magazine beauty director Mikki Taylor, and features thirteen contestants from the first two seasons of Flavor of Love, assigned the challenge of developing proper etiquette in a competition for $50,000 and the title of "Charm School Queen." The show was recorded over 25 days in an Encino mansion during Fall 2006. Saaphyri Windsor was ultimately named Charm School Queen and was awarded the $50,000.

Fourteen contestants from both seasons of Rock of Love with Bret Michaels are competing to develop proper etiquette in order to win $100,000. Sharon Osbourne is the host. Rock of Love: Charm School first aired on VH1 on October 12, 2008. Brandi Mahon was ultimately named Charm School Queen and was awarded the $100,000.
The first season of Pinoy Dream Academy formally began on August 27, 2006, and ended on December 16 of the same year replacing U Can Dance. Nikki Gil was the main host of this season, while joining her in the Saturday Gala Nights were Bianca Gonzalez, Roxanne Barcelo, and Toni Gonzaga. Sam Milby was also part of the Saturday shows, but had stopped appearing mid-season. Barcelo also hosted the UpLate edition of the show.
Pinoy Dream Academy is a Philippine television program similar to Big Brother. The second season began on June 14, 2008 replacing Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus and was replaced by Kahit Isang Saglit. Nikki Gil and Toni Gonzaga reprised their roles as hosts of the show, but Gonzaga now handled the main hosting plum while Gil appeared both on the Probation Nights and Little Dreamers Gala/Expulsion Night. Billy Crawford joined this season as the host of the late afternoon edition Pinoy Dream Academy Überture.
La Academia Última Generación is the last generation of La Academia, according to its producer Eva Borja. Auditions were held in many cities across Mexico, Guatemala and the United States in July. The program was broadcast on Televisión Azteca for 16 weeks from August 31 to December 14, 2008.

Alix Bauer Tapuach is a Mexican singer of Ashkenazi Jewish origin. She was a member of the pop music band Timbiriche from its formation in 1982 until her departure in 1989. She released her only solo album Por Vez Primera in 1991, and she participated in the supergroup Giratour Pop & Rock in 2019. She also had a brief acting career with a role in the soap opera Prisionera de Amor in 1994.
Javier Colon is an American acoustic singer-songwriter. He has referred to his style of music as being "acoustic soul." He was a member of EmcQ and The Derek Trucks Band, and worked with many musicians before going solo. From 2002 to 2006, he was signed to Capitol Records, known as artist Javier. In 2006, however, the contract was terminated and Javier Colon became an independent artist with his own label, Javier Colon Music. In 2011, he was the winner of season 1 of the American talent competition show on NBC, The Voice, receiving $100,000 and signing a recording contract with Universal Republic Records. Colon eventually decided to part ways with Universal Republic in 2012.
Are You the One? is an American reality television series featuring a group of men and women that are secretly paired into couples via a matchmaking algorithm. While living together, the contestants try to identify all of these "perfect matches." If they succeed, the entire group shares a prize of up to $1 million. All couples in the first seven seasons were male-female, while in the eighth season a contestant's match could be someone of any gender.

The goal of the series is to look for talented young teens to make the next musical phenomenon. The show was renewed for season 2, in the search for the next Latin boy and girl band. The judges in Season 2 were Wisin, Laura Pausini and Mario Domm.
Produce X 101 is a 2019 South Korean boy group survival reality show on Mnet and the fourth and final season of the Produce 101 franchise. The public, referred to as "national producers", "produces" a boy band by choosing 11 members among the 101 trainees from 47 different entertainment companies and independent trainees through online voting and live voting with multiple elimination rounds. The public will also choose the group's concept, debut song, and group name. The show aired from May 3 to July 19, 2019. Contestant Kim Yohan from Oui Entertainment obtained the most votes at the end, becoming the debut group center. The group from this show was named X1, but after extensive voting manipulation was proven, the group was disbanded on January 6, 2020.
