Calcium-binding tyrosine phosphorylation-regulated protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CABYR gene. [5] [6] [7] [8]
To reach fertilization competence, spermatozoa undergo a series of morphological and molecular maturational processes, termed capacitation, involving protein tyrosine phosphorylation and increased intracellular calcium. The protein encoded by this gene localizes to the principal piece of the sperm flagellum in association with the fibrous sheath and exhibits calcium-binding when phosphorylated during capacitation. A pseudogene on chromosome 3 has been identified for this gene. Transcript variants of this gene encode multiple protein isoforms. An additional transcript and isoform has not been fully characterized. [8]
Caldesmon is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CALD1 gene.

Dynein axonemal intermediate chain 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the DNAI1 gene.
A-kinase anchor protein 4 is a scaffold protein that in humans is encoded by the AKAP4 gene. It involves in the intracellular signalling of protein kinase -A. AKAP4 is called as cancer /testis antigen (CTA), it belongs to a class of tumour linked antigens categories by high expression in germ cells and cancer than normal tissues. AKAP4 is not normally expressed in mRNA and protein level in MM cell line.

Fibrous sheath CABYR binding protein is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FSCB gene, which is found on chromosome 14. It is found in Homo sapiens, and has the following lineage: Eukaryota; Metazoa; Chordata; Craniata; Vertebrata; Euteleostomi; Mammalia; Eutheria; Euarchontoglires; Primates; Haplorrhini; Catarrhini; Hominidae; Homo. The sub-cellular function of the protein is to localize to the cortex of the fibrous sheath, including the surface of the longitudinal columns and ribs of the main part of sperm flagella.
