CAE Douala (formerly Sabena Flight Academy Africa) (CAE SFA-A) is an aviation school owned by Canadian group CAE [2] (part of its CAE Global Academy), located at Douala, Cameroon. It was the first civil aviation university in the country. [3]

History

The school was created in 2008 by Joseph Barla, and Jean-Yves Kotto, as subsidiary of Sabena Flight Academy, [7] a Belgian school created in 1953. A few months later, following the absorption of Sabena Flight Academy by CAE, SFA-A become part of CAE Global Academy, renamed CAE Global Academy Douala. [1]

Equipments

On its Douala campus, the school has three flight simulators  : one FNPT2 calibrated like a Boeing 737-800, a second FNPT2 showing the Diamond DA42 and a FNPT1 dedicated to instrument flight rules training. [1]

École nationale de l'aviation civile (ENAC) is one of 205 colleges accredited to award engineering degrees in France. ASL Airlines France Airline in France

ASL Airlines France, formerly Europe Airpost, is an airline based in the Bâtiment Le Séquoia in Tremblay-en-France. Kenya Airways Flight 507 2007 passenger plane crash in Douala, Cameroon

Kenya Airways Flight 507 was a scheduled Abidjan–Douala–Nairobi passenger service, operated with a Boeing 737-800, that crashed in the initial stage of its second leg on 5 May 2007, immediately after takeoff from Douala International Airport in Cameroon.

Gabon Airlines is the name of two incarnations of Gabonese airline, headquartered in Libreville. The first incarnation of Gabon Airlines which was operated from 2007 to 2012, concentrating on African and European flight services out of Libreville International Airport. In April 2015, the second incarnation of Gabon Airlines is due to redeveloped as a flag carrier, replacing the original Air Gabon. CAE Oxford Aviation Academy Brussels - Sabena Flight Academy is an aviation training organisation created in 1953, and located in Steenokkerzeel (Belgium). The school is now part of CAE Global Academy. The training is performed in Brussels, in Mesa at CAE Oxford Aviation Academy Phoenix . Sabena Flight Academy is one of the oldest airline transport pilot schools in Europe.

Price Induction is a French company which develops and manufactures the DGEN turbofan engines intended for light airplanes known as Personal Light Jets (PLJs). The company is based in Anglet and employs over fifty people. Three subsidiaries have been established in Atlanta, GA, USA, São José dos Campos, Brazil and Berlin, Germany.

BAA Training

BAA Training is an independent aviation training centre, headquartered in Vilnius, Lithuania and operating globally. Certified as an Approved Training Organization (ATO), BAA Training offers Fixed or Rotary wing Ab Initio, Type Rating, Cabin Crew, Ground Handling, Flight Dispatcher training including online training courses and has a capacity to prepare approximately 1,000 aviation professionals yearly. BAA Training clients come from 96 countries. Ab Initio school with its two flight bases in Spain and the fleet of 22 aircraft has over 200 students. Currently, BAA Training operates 8 full flight simulators (FFS): 4 FFS at training centre in Vilnius, Lithuania, 2 FFS in Hoh Chi Minh City, Vietnam, 1 FFS in Zhengzhou City in China, 1 FFS in Barcelona, Spain. All in all, through the extensive network of 69+ FFS in 29+ locations, BAA Training is ready to provide aviation training worldwide for more than 14 aircraft types.
