CECOS University of IT and Emerging Sciences is a private university in Peshawar, Pakistan. It was established in 1986 by Engr. Muhammad Tanveer Javed as a small private sector institute named CECOS Data Institute with limited resources. Currently, it offers courses in Civil engineering, Mechanical engineering, Electrical engineering, Computer science,Basic Sciences & Humanities, Architecture, Management sciences, Biotechnology and Pharmacy. The university is accredited and recognized by Pakistan Engineering Council, [3] Higher Education Commission, [4] Pakistan Council of Architects and Town Planners (PCATP), [5] National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC), [6] Pharmacy Council of Pakistan. [7] CECOS University is also a member of Asia Pacific Quality Network (APQN) [8] and Association of Management Development Institutions in South Asia (AMDISA). [9]

Civil Engineering Department is one of the most reputed departments in CECOS. The current head of department (HoD) of civil engineering is Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Bashir and accommodates 6 global-local graduate Ph.D faculty members, i.e. HoD Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tariq Bashir (Ph.D Malaysia), Assistant Prof. Dr. Syed Saad (Ph.D Malaysia, MEng. UK), Associate Prof. Dr. Ali Sikandar (Ph.D South Korea), Prof. Dr. Beenish (Ph.D Pak), Associate Prof. Dr. Bakht Zamin (Ph.D Pak), Prof. Dr. Bazid Khan (Ph.D Pak).

The University of Chakwal (UOC) is a public university located in Chakwal, Punjab Pakistan. It was established in January, 2020 through the University of Chakwal ACT 2019 (Punjab Act No. I of 2020). An exalted chapter was added in the history of Pakistan as well as the Chakwal district, when the incumbent Minister for Higher Education Department, Govt. of the Punjab, Raja Yassir Humayun, presented the bill of establishment of "University of Chakwal" in the Punjab Assembly which was approved unanimously by combining Government Post Graduate College (Chakwal) and Old Kachehri Balkasar Sub-campuses of University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila.
