CKV Unitas (Christelijke Korfbal Vereniging Unitas) is a Dutch korfball club located in Harderwijk, Netherlands. De club name Unitas stands for unity. The team plays in orange and black tenue.
In the 60s there was no korfball being played in the area of Harderwijk. During the first years after the club has been established it did not have its own clubhouse and locker rooms and had to improvise in order to be able to actually complete the competition. The club made extensive use of school korfball to recruit new members. This way, the youth section kept growing.
Since 1971 the club has its own clubhouse, next to the Slingerbos.
For the first time in the club's history, Unitas reached the Hoofdklasse final in the indoor competition in the 2021–2022 season. Unitas won the final against HKC, earning promotion to the Korfbal League, the highest Dutch indoor korfball competition. [1]
In their first season in the Korfbal League, 2022-23, the team was relegated back to the Korfbal League 2.
During the 2023-24 Korfbal League 2 season, Unitas has again achieved promotion to the Korfbal League, meaning they will participate in the highest Dutch korfball competition for the second time in the 2024-25 season. [2]
Korfball is a ball sport, with similarities to netball and basketball. It is played by two teams of eight players with four female players and four male players in each team. The objective is to throw a ball into a netless basket that is mounted on a 3.5 m high pole.

Football Club Groningen is a Dutch professional association football club based in the city of Groningen, province of Groningen. Founded on 16 June 1971 as the successor of GVAV, the team compete in the Eredivisie, the first tier of Dutch football, following promotion from the 2023–24 Eerste Divisie. Groningen played their inaugural season in the Eredivisie, before the side were relegated to the Eerste Divisie in 1973–74 as they got into financial difficulties. The Korfball European Cup was the main annual korfball competition for clubs in Europe. The first Europa Cup took place in 1967 in London (England), with two teams from the Netherlands, Belgium and the host nation England. Ons Eibernest from The Hague won the first tournament. The tournament was won exclusively by clubs from the Netherlands and Belgium, and Mitcham (England) and Adler Rauxel (Germany) were the only clubs outside Netherlands and Belgium to reach the final. In January 2022, the IKF announced that the IKF Europa Cup and IKF Europa Shield would be replaced by the IKF Europe Korfball Champions League for the 2022-23 Season.
Korfbalvereniging Tot Ons Plezier, usually known as TOP Sassenheim, is a Dutch korfball club located in Sassenheim, Netherlands. The club was founded on 12 July 1928 and they play their home games in sports accommodation De Korf. The team plays in white/red vertically striped shirts and black shorts / skirts.
The Korfbal League is the highest echelon of indoor korfball in the Netherlands. The league was founded in 2005 as the new highest level in Dutch korfball. Before that the top level was split in two divisions. Since the start of the competition the format has been the same. The winner of the Korfbal League qualifies for the Korfball Champions League while the number 10 relegated to the Korfbal League 2. The number 9 will compete with the loser of the Korfbal League 2 final in a play-off for a position in the Korfbal League.

The 2024–25 Korfbal League season will be the 20th edition of the Korfbal League since its establishment in 2005. PKC are the defending champions. At the end of the previous season Groen Geel relegated directly to Korfbal League 2.
