Cystatin-like 1 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CSTL1 gene. [5]
The cystatin superfamily encompasses proteins that contain multiple cystatin-like sequences. Some of the members are active cysteine protease inhibitors, while others have lost or perhaps never acquired this inhibitory activity. There are three inhibitory families in the superfamily, including the type 1 cystatins (stefins), type 2 cystatins and the kininogens. The type 2 cystatin proteins are a class of cysteine proteinase inhibitors found in a variety of human fluids and secretions. The cystatin locus on chromosome 20 contains the majority of the type 2 cystatin genes and pseudogenes. This gene is located at the telomeric end of the cystatin locus and encodes a type 2 cystatin-like protein. The specific function of this protein has not been determined. [5]
Cystatin-A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CSTA gene.
Cystatin-B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CSTB gene.
Cystatin-S is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST4 gene.
Cystatin-SN is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST1 gene.
Cystatin-SA is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST2 gene.
Cystatin-M is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST6 gene.
Cystatin-F is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST7 gene.
Cystatin-D is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST5 gene.
Cathepsin L2, also known as cathepsin V and encoded by the CTSV gene, is a human gene.
Cytochrome P450 3A43 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CYP3A43 gene.
Cystatin-8 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST8 gene.
Cathepsin F is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CTSF gene.
Striated muscle preferentially expressed protein kinase, in the human is encoded by the SPEG gene, a member of the myosin light chain kinase protein family. SPEG is involved in the development of the muscle cell cytoskeleton, and the expression of this gene has important roles in the development of skeletal muscles, and their maintenance and function. Mutations are associated with centronuclear myopathies a group of congenital disorders where the cell nuclei are abnormally centrally placed.
Cystatin-9-like is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST9L gene.
Protein sprouty homolog 3 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the SPRY3 gene.
Cysteine and glycine-rich protein 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CSRP2 gene.
Cystatin-11 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CST11 gene.
Fetuin-B is a protein that in humans is encoded by the FETUB gene.
C-type lectin domain family 4 member A is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CLEC4A gene.
Voltage-dependent calcium channel gamma-1 subunit is a protein that in humans is encoded by the CACNG1 gene.
