Cacia hieroglyphica is a species of beetle in the family Cerambycidae. It was described by Heller in 1923. It is known from the Philippines. [1]
Horapollo is the supposed author of a treatise, titled Hieroglyphica, on Egyptian hieroglyphs, extant in a Greek translation by one Philippus, also dating to c. 5th century.
The ornamental orchid species Phalaenopsis hieroglyphica is native to certain islands of the Philippines. Its flowers are creamy white with transverse markings that resemble glyphs.
