Cadman Evans Dufu Yamoah is a Ghanaian athlete who specialises in the high jump. He attended tertiary education and competed in athletics at the University of Ghana, where he rose to prominence and was amongst the top high jumpers in the university athlete community. Currently he attends the University of Central Missouri and competes on the Mules track and field team. [1] [2] [3] [4]

He currently holds the Ghanaian high jump record with a jump of 2.20 m which he set in February 2023 at Gorilla Classic, Pittsburg, United States. [5]

In March 2023, he also represented Ghana in the high jump at the 2023 African Games. [2] [3] He won gold in the high jump with a jump of 2.23m, setting a new Ghanaian high jump record. [2] [3]

Major General Robert Ebenezer Abossey Kotei was a soldier, politician and track and field athlete. He was once the Chief of Defence Staff of the Ghana Armed Forces and also a member of the Supreme Military Council that ruled Ghana between 1975 and 1979. He was executed in 1979, following a military coup. He also held the Ghanaian high jump record for many years.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Kwaku Ohene-Frempong</span> Ghanaian physician (1946–2022)

Kwaku Ohene-Frempong was a Ghanaian pediatric hematologist-oncologist and an expert in sickle cell disease (SCD). Ohene-Frempong grew up in Ghana and was a standout athlete in track-and-field, later competing for Yale University as well as Ghana at the 1970 British Commonwealth Games. He continued his medical training in the United States, where he completed medical school, pediatrics residency and a pediatric hematology-oncology fellowship. With a professional interest in SCD, Ohene-Frempong was a physician and involved in public health initiatives at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans, Louisiana, and later the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) in Pennsylvania. He continued professional relationships with Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi, Ghana where he later became a full-time physician after retiring from CHOP. In Ghana, he established public health initiatives for SCD screening in newborns, as well as an SCD clinic for patients with the disease.

Theophilus Nii Kpakpo Allotey is a Ghanaian boxer. He started boxing at a very tender age and passed through the juvenile stage, Black Rocket before he was promoted to the senior level to be part of the Black Bombers.
