Mpho Benjamin Links (born 20 June 1996) is a South African athlete specialising in the high jump. [2] He won a gold medal at the 2019 All African Championships, a bronze medal at the 2022 African Championships, a bronze at the 2023 All African Games and a bronze at the 2024 African games.
His personal best in the event was 2.25 metres set in Germiston in 2019, mark he improved with 2.27 m in Potchefstroom (RSA) on 29 April 2021.

Abderrahmane Hammad Zaheer is the Algerian Minister of Youth and Sports and a former track and field athlete who competed in the high jump. He represented his country at the Summer Olympics in 2000, taking the bronze medal and made a second appearance at the 2004 Athens Olympics. His personal best of 2.34 m is the Algerian record for the event. He retired from the sport in 2010. In 2020, he became the President of the Algerian Olympic Committee. Hammad was appointed as minister on 16 March 2023.
Sunday Bada was a Nigerian sprinter who specialized in the 400 metres event. He won three medals at the World Indoor Championships, including a gold medal in 1997. His personal best time was 44.63 seconds, and with 45.51 seconds indoor he holds the African indoor record. He set a national record in the 4 x 400 metres relay at the 2000 Olympics, where the Nigerian team also won gold medals after the disqualification of the US team who had finished first.
Margaret Simpson is a Ghanaian heptathlete. She won a bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships, setting several personal bests in the process. Her personal best is 6423 points, achieved in Götzis in May 2005.
Othmane Mustapha Belfaa is a retired Algerian athlete who competed in the high jump. He was born in Lille, France. His personal best is 2.28m achieved in Amman in 1983. He finished 3rd at the 1985 IAAF World Indoor Championships in Athletics in Paris with a jump of 2.27m. He finished also 6th at the 1992 World Cup in Athletics in Havana.
Louis Jacobus van Zyl, better known as L. J. van Zyl, is a South African athlete competing in the 400 metre hurdles. He is the South African record holder in the event with a personal best of 47.66 seconds, which he achieved twice, three months apart. His time ranks him in the all-time top 25. He is a three-time African Champion in the event and competed for his country at the 2008, 2012 and 2016 Summer Olympics.
