The Calgary Crush were a semi-professional basketball team who were members of the American Basketball Association (ABA) from 2012 to 2015. The Crush played their home games at SAIT Polytechnic.
The Crush were the second ABA team based in Calgary following the Calgary Drillers, which only played in the 2004-05 season before folding. Calgary Crush went undefeated in their inaugural ABA season playing in the nine-team Pacific Northwest Division.
The team announced on November 29, 2015 that the club would sit out the 2015–16 ABA season, citing a lack of funding. [1]

The Brooklyn Nets are an American professional basketball team based in the New York City borough of Brooklyn. The Dallas Chaparrals were a charter member of the American Basketball Association (ABA). The team moved to San Antonio, Texas, for the 1973–74 season and were renamed the San Antonio Spurs. Malone led the Philadelphia 76ers to an NBA championship in 1983, winning both the league and Finals MVP. Widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the sport's history, Malone is also seen as one of the most underrated NBA players.
William John Cunningham is an American former professional basketball player and coach, who was nicknamed the Kangaroo Kid for his leaping and record-setting rebounding abilities. He spent a total of 17 seasons with the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers, and two seasons as a player with the Carolina Cougars of the ABA.

Daniels was a two-time ABA Most Valuable Player, three-time ABA Champion and a seven-time ABA All-Star. Daniels was the All-time ABA rebounding leader, and in 1997 was named a unanimous selection to the ABA All-Time Team. Daniels was enshrined into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.

The ABA–NBA merger was a major pro sports business maneuver in 1976 when the American Basketball Association (ABA) combined with the National Basketball Association (NBA), after multiple attempts over several years. The NBA and ABA had entered merger talks as early as 1970, but an antitrust suit filed by the head of the NBA players union, Robertson v. National Basketball Ass'n, blocked the merger until 1976.
The Jacksonville Giants were a professional minor league basketball team based in Jacksonville, Florida. They were the 2012, 2013, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2021 National Champions of the new American Basketball Association (ABA), which they joined as an expansion team for the 2010–2011 season. The 2016–17 ABA League was the 16th season of the ABA League, with 14 teams from Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Macedonia participating in it. It started on September 29, 2016, with the first round of the regular season and the regular season ended on March 13, 2017, followed by playoffs of the four best placed teams. The play-offs were played from March 18 till April 13, 2017. Crvena zvezda won its third ABA League championship, after beating Cedevita 3–0 in the Finals.
The 1967–68 Kentucky Colonels season was the first season of the Colonels in the newly created American Basketball Association. The team was created on March 6, 1967, with Don Regan being awarded the team for $30,000. Later in the year, Joseph Gregory, Mamie Gregory and William C. Boone became owners.
