The Galway County Boards of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Galway GAA are one of the 32 county boards in Ireland; they are responsible for Gaelic games in County Galway, and for the Galway county teams.

There was a camogie club in the parish in times past when Corrandrum fielded a team, but the ladies of the parish now play camogie with Carnmore, Turloughmore or Castlegar clubs.

Pat O Connor and Mike Kelly were in charge of the 2006 Galway Senior Hurling Championship were the team reached The All Ireland Club Final were they were defeated by Kilkenny’s Ballyhale Shamrocks ending a great campaign.
Pádraic Mannion is an Irish hurler, he also plays as a right wing-back for club side Ahascragh-Fohenagh and at inter-county level with the Galway senior hurling team. His brother, Cathal, also plays for both teams.
Ahascragh-Fohenagh GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the two Parishes of Fohenagh and Ahascragh, in east County Galway, Ireland. As of 2017, the club competes in the Galway Senior Hurling Championship, having gained Senior status for the first time in 2016.
The Galway county football team represents Galway in men's Gaelic football and is governed by Galway GAA, the county board of the Gaelic Athletic Association. The team competes in the three major annual inter-county competitions; the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Connacht Senior Football Championship and the National Football League.
The 2003–04 All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship was the 34th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship since its establishment by the Gaelic Athletic Association in 1970-71. The championship began on 19 October 2003 and ended on 17 March 2004.
