Cappataggle GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Cappataggle, County Galway, Ireland. The club was founded in 1885 and is exclusively concerned with the game of hurling. The club built a state of the art astro pitch in 2009.

The Leitrim County Board of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) or Leitrim GAA is one of the 32 county boards of the GAA in Ireland, and is responsible for Gaelic games in County Leitrim. The county football team play in the Connacht Senior Football Championship and compete in Division 4 of the National Football League. The Roscommon Senior Hurling Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association competition organised by Roscommon GAA among the top hurling clubs in County Roscommon, Ireland. Since 2008, the champions qualify to the Connacht Intermediate Club Hurling Championship, the winner of which progresses to the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Hurling Championship. Before 2008, the Roscommon champions qualified for the Connacht Senior Club Hurling Championship.
Annaghdown GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in County Galway, Ireland. The club is a member of the Galway GAA and was founded in 1887. Underage teams in both hurling and football play in the Galway league and championships. Annaghdown are a dual club and cater for Gaelic football, hurling and Ladies football. There was a camogie club in the parish in times past when Corrandrum fielded a team, but the ladies of the parish now play camogie with Carnmore, Turloughmore or Castlegar clubs.

The three clubs, Cumann Peile Mhaigh Cuilinn, Cumann Iománaíocht Maigh Cuilinn and Cumann Camógaíocht Mhaigh Cuilinn share playing facilities and cooperate on a number of the local community and sporting issues. The clubs are members of the Galway GAA. There are two other clubs in the parish with indirect GAA affiliations, Moycullen Ladies Football Club and Moycullen Handball Club, who also share the club facilities.
Calry-St Joseph's is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Calry and the northern ward of Sligo, Éire. The club was formerly known as Calry Gaels until it became Calry-St Joseph's in 1987 after a re-organisation of the GAA structures in the Sligo urban area. They have won the last 7 Sligo Senior Hurling Championships and played in 12 of the last 13 finals, winning in 2005 until 2009 and again from 2011 to 2017. In 2009 they won the Connacht Junior Club Hurling Championship beating Galway side Skehana 1-09 to 0-10 in the final having lost to them the year before and they repeated that feat again in 2012 by beating the same opposition from before, Skehana. They followed up that victory with a double double by winning both Provincial and County Championships in 2013. The club's most recent victory in the Connacht Junior Hurling Championship came in 2016. Reduced to 13 men, with two players sent off, they clawed back a deficit of 5 points to tie the match and go on to beat Micheál Breathnach of the Galway Gaeltacht in extra-time, 3-9 to 2-10. They won the Sligo Intermediate Football Championship in 2004 & 2014 and came Runners Up in 1988, 1990 & 2013 and won Sligo Junior Football Championship in 1976 & 1987 and were Runners Up in 1983 & 1984.
Paul Murphy is an Irish hurler who plays for Intermediate Championship club Danesfort. He is a former player with the Kilkenny senior hurling team, with whom he made 94 league and championship appearances in a decade-long inter-county career.
