Calvin Chong Ket Kiun is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Elopura since May 2018. He is a member of Sabah Heritage Party (WARISAN) and was a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalitions. [1]
On 20 January 2022,he,Sri Tanjong assemblyman Justin Wong Yung Bin and former senator Adrian Lasimbang quit DAP and joined WARISAN on 26 March. [2] [3]

Companion of the Order of Kinabalu (ASDK) (2018) [6] Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin is a Malaysian politician. She is the former Member of the Parliament of Malaysia for the Batu Sapi constituency in Sandakan,Sabah,representing the United Sabah Party (PBS) in the former ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
General elections were held in Malaysia on Wednesday,9 May 2018. At stake were all 222 seats in the Dewan Rakyat,the lower house of parliament. The 13th Parliament was dissolved by Prime Minister Najib Razak on 7 April 2018. It would have been automatically dissolved on 24 June 2018,five years after the first meeting of the first session of the 13th Parliament of Malaysia on 24 June 2013.
This is a list of the members of the Dewan Rakyat of the 13th Parliament of Malaysia. The opposition coalition Pakatan Rakyat that contested the general elections in 2013 was dissolved after series of disagreements between two main parties,Democratic Action Party (DAP) and Pan-Malaysian Islamic Party (PAS). A new opposition coalition Pakatan Harapan was formed by the DAP,People's Justice Party (PKR) and newly formed party National Trust Party (AMANAH),consisting of ex-PAS members. Several ex-UMNO members have also formed their own party Malaysian United Indigenous Party (BERSATU) and have signed an electoral pact with Pakatan Harapan to contest the future general election and ensure straight fights against Barisan Nasional. On 20 March 2017 BERSATU officially became a member of Pakatan Harapan.
The Heritage Party is a multi-racial political party in Malaysia which was rebranded and renamed from the Sabah Heritage Party,a Sabah-based party led by Shafie Apdal formed earlier on 17 October 2016 after its expansion into national level politics at the end of 2021.
Christina Liew is a Hong Kong-born Malaysian politician who has served as the State Minister of Tourism,Culture and Environment of Sabah for the second term in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) state administration under Chief Minister Hajiji Noor since January 2023 and the first term in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) state administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal from May 2018 to the collapse of the WARISAN administration in September 2020 as well as Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Api-Api since May 2013. She also served as the Deputy Chief Minister III in the WARISAN administration under Shafie from May 2018 to September 2020,and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Tawau from May 2018 to November 2022. She is a member and the Division Chief of Api-Api of the People's Justice Party (PKR),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition and formerly Barisan Alternatif (BA) and Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions. She has served as Vice President of PH since September 2017. She has also served as Member of the Central Leadership Council (MPP) of PKR and Division Chairperson of Kota Kinabalu of PKR since July 2022. She also served as the State Chairperson of PH of Sabah from August 2017 to December 2024 and State Chairperson of PKR of Sabah from October 2016 to her removal from the position in August 2022. She was also the Vice President of PKR. She was a member of the United Sabah Party (PBS) and Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA),component parties of the Gagasan Rakyat (GR) and Barisan Nasional (BN) coalitions.
The 2019 Sandakan by-election was a by-election held on 11 May 2019 for the Dewan Rakyat seat of Sandakan. It was called following the death of incumbent,Wong Tien Fatt on 28 March 2019. Wong was a 2-term Member of Parliament for Sandakan since 2013. He was a member and Sabah state party chairman (2015-2019) of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition.
Vivian Wong Shir Yee is a Malaysian politician,financial adviser,teacher,activist and volunteer who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sandakan since May 2019. She is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. She is also the daughter of former State Minister of Health and People's Wellbeing of Sabah,former Sandakan MP and former State Chairman of DAP of Sabah Stephen Wong Tien Fatt.
The 2020–2022 Malaysian political crisis was triggered after several Members of Parliament (MPs) of the 14th Malaysian Parliament changed party support,leading to the loss of a parliamentary majority,the collapse of two successive coalition governments,and the resignation of two Prime Ministers. The political crisis culminated in a 2022 snap general election and eventual formation of a coalition government. Ben Chong Chen Bin is a Malaysian politician who has served as Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Tanjong Kapor since May 2018. He served as the State Assistant Minister of Trade and Industry of Sabah in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) state administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal and former State Minister Wilfred Madius Tangau from May 2018 to the collapse of WARISAN state administration in September 2020. He is an independent in support of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition until 21 February 2023. He is an official member of the GAGASAN,the major component of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) since 2023.
Ewon Benedick is a Malaysian politician who has served as Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development in the Anwar Ibrahim Cabinet since December 2022,the Member of Parliament (MP) for Penampang since November 2022 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kadamaian since May 2018. He served as State Minister of Rural Development of Sabah in the Sabah Heritage Party (WARISAN) administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal from May 2018 to the collapse of the WARISAN state administration in September 2020. He is a member of the United Progressive Kinabalu Organisation (UPKO),a component party of the PH coalition. He has served as the 3rd President of UPKO since January 2023 and the 2nd State Chairman of PH of Sabah since December 2024. He was also Vice President of UPKO before his promotion to the party presidency in January 2023. He is one of the two UPKO MPs and sole UPKO MLA. He was set to officially take over Wilfred Madius Tangau as the 3rd UPKO president after the UPKO party election in the party triennial delegates convention on 16 October 2022. However on 10 October 2022,the 14th Parliament was dissolved and the 2022 general election was to be held on 19 November 2022,the convention was delayed to 15 January 2023.
Phoong Jin Zhe also known as Ginger Phoong is a Malaysian politician who has served as the State Minister of Industrial Development and Entrepreneurship of Sabah in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) state administration under Chief Minister Hajiji Noor since February 2023 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Luyang since May 2018. He served as the State Minister of Industrial Development of Sabah in the GRS state administration under Chief Minister Hajiji from January 2023 to February 2023,State Minister of Youth and Sports of Sabah in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal from May 2019 to the collapse of the WARISAN administration in September 2020. He is a member and the State Chairman of Sabah of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He was also the Youth Chief of DAP of Sabah or known as Chief of the DAP Socialist Youth,the youth wing of the party.
Jannie Lasimbang is a Malaysian politician who has served as Chairwoman of the Rural Development Corporation (KPD) of Sabah since February 2023 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Kapayan since May 2018. She served as the State Assistant Minister of Law and Native Affairs of Sabah in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) state administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal and former Minister Aidi Moktar from May 2018 to the collapse of the WARISAN state administration in September 2020. She is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. She has also served as the International Secretary of DAP since March 2022 and State Vice Chairwoman of Sabah since 2024. She is also the sister of Jennifer Lasimbang,former State Assistant Minister of Education and Innovation of Sabah and former Moyog MLA.
George Hiew Vun Zin is a Malaysian politician who has served as the Member of Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Karamunting since May 2018. He served as the State Assistant Minister of Housing and Local Government of Sabah in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) administration under former Chief Minister Shafie Apdal and former Minister Jaujan Sambakong from May 2018 to the collapse of the WARISAN administration in September 2020. He is a member of the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (GAGASAN),a component party of the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) coalition and was a former member of WARISAN as well as the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) and formerly the Pakatan Rakyat (PR) coalitions. He was also a former Member of the Supreme Council and Division Chief of Sandakan of WARISAN. In 2016,he left DAP for WARISAN and on 4 March 2023,he left WARISAN for GAGASAN to support a local party after WARISAN declared to become a national party. He become a Divisional Chairperson of Karamunting of Gagasan Rakyat in 2023,and also become one of the GRS main leaders in Sandakan.
Frankie Poon Ming Fung is a Malaysian politician and lawyer who has served as Chairman of the Sabah Development Berhad (SDB) since January 2023 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Tanjong Papat since May 2018. He served as the State Minister of People's Health and Wellbeing of Sabah in the Heritage Party (WARISAN) state administration from May 2019 to the collapse of the WARISAN state administration in September 2020 and the State Minister of Youth and Sports of Sabah from May 2018 to May 2019. He is a member of the Democratic Action Party (DAP),a component party of the Pakatan Harapan (PH) coalition. He has served as the State Chairman of DAP of Sabah from March 2019 to October 2024.
Datuk James bin Ratib is a Malaysian politician who served as the State Minister of Community Development and People's Wellbeing of Sabah in the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) state administration under Chief Minister Hajiji Noor since January 2023 and Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Sugut since May 2013. He served as the State Assistant Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Sabah in the GRS state administration under Hajiji and Minister Jeffrey Kitingan from October 2020 to his promotion to full ministership of a different portfolio in January 2023. The 16th Sabah State Legislative Assembly is the current term of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly,the legislative branch of the Government of Sabah in Sabah,Malaysia. The 16th Assembly consists of 79 members that 73 members were elected in the 2020 Sabah election and 6 members were nominated by the Government and is serving from 26 October 2020 until the next state election.
