The Love Sabah Party or in Malay : Parti Cinta Sabah is a political party of Sabah, Malaysia. [1] [2] The PCS is a relatively new party and was among 20 new party registrations approved by the Registrar of Society in 2013. [3] [4]

PCS joined together with the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and State Reform Party (STAR) in the United Sabah Alliance (USA), [5] but later left the coalition over disagreements. [6] The party then signed political pact with the Sabah Native Co-operation Party in March 2018 with the ultimate goal to restore the rights, dignity and identity of the ‘Anak Negeri’ (native) or the firstborn in the state of Sabah. [7]

Anifah Aman took over as President from his outgoing predecessor Wilfred Bumburing who was elected as the new Deputy President after winning the position uncontested during the party 2nd Biennal General Meeting on 26 July 2020. [8] The party BGM also passed an resolution for the party to be renamed as Sabah People's Awareness Party (Parti Kesedaran Rakyat Sabah), with a new flag and symbol upon RoS approval. [9] In 2022, the rebranding process of this party has been cancelled due to many of the party member that doesn't agree with the new name. In 2024, the party has been accepted into Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) political coalition, who governs Sabah at the time. [10]

Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffrey Gapari Kitingan(born 22 October 1948, also known as DDJK or DSPDJK since 2021) is Malaysian politician who has served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah I since January 2023 and State Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of Sabah for the second term since September 2020. He served as the Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah II from October 2020 to his promotion in January 2023 and the first term in the position in May 2018. In January 2023, he was appointed as the Deputy Chief Minister I of Sabah succeeding Bung Mokhtar, who was dropped due to a political crisis. At the federal level, he served as the Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture from March 2020 to his resignation in September 2020 and Deputy Minister of Housing and Local Government from August 1994 to May 1995. He has served as Member of Parliament (MP) for Keningau since May 2018, Member of the Sabah State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Tambunan since May 2018 and Bingkor from May 2013 to May 2018. He has served and been founding President of the Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR), a component party of the ruling Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and a former component party of the federal and state ruling Perikatan Nasional (PN) coalition, since July 2016.

Anifah bin Haji Aman @ Haniff Amman is a Malaysian politician who has served as Senator since March 2023, Chairman of the Labuan Corporation since June 2023, Special Advisor to the Chief Minister of Sabah Hajiji Noor on International Relations and Foreign Investments since January 2023 and the 3rd President of the Love Sabah Party (PCS) since July 2020. He served as the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister of Primary Industries and Deputy Minister of Primary Industries in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Ministers Mahathir Mohamad, Abdullah Ahmad Badawi and Najib Razak and former Ministers Lim Keng Yaik and Peter Chin Fah Kui from December 1999 to the collapse of the BN administration in May 2018 as well as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Beaufort from November 1999 to March 2004 and for Kimanis from March 2004 to August 2019 and for Beaufort from November 1999 to March 2004. He is a member of the PCS and was a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the BN coalition before leaving it to be an independent in September 2018 and joining PCS in 2020.

Dato' Masir anak Kujat is a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Sri Aman from March 2008 to November 2022. He has been a member of the Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB) since 7 March 2019. He left PSB to become an independent MP in March 2022. Masir lost his Sri Aman federal seat on the November 2022 Malaysian general election to Doris Sophia Brodie from Gabungan Parti Sarawak in a 4-way fight. He previously served as Deputy Minister of Home Affairs II in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Najib Razak and former Minister Ahmad Zahid Hamidi from July 2015 to the power loss of BN coalition in May 2018. The United Sabah Alliance was a political coalition bringing together Sabah-based parties in Malaysia. It was jointly founded by the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR) after the SAPP left the Barisan Nasional coalition. The Love Sabah Party joined the coalition but left in 2017 due to disagreements. Later, the Sabah People's Hope Party (PHRS) and Sabah People's Unity Party (PPRS) joined the coalition. However, after the 2018 general election, PHRS left the coalition.

Homeland Solidarity Party is a Sabah-based political party. The party was founded on 1 July 2016 by Joseph Pairin Kitingan's brother Jeffrey. STAR Party was one of four founding parties of the United Sabah Alliance (USA) founded in 2016, United Alliance of Sabah (UAOS) founded in 2018, and Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) founded in 2020, the other being the Sabah People's Ideas Party (GAGASAN), Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and United Sabah Party (PBS).

The United Alliance of Sabah was a political coalition bringing together Sabah-based opposition parties in Malaysia established by Joseph Pairin Kitingan following the fall of the Barisan Nasional coalition in the 2018 Malaysian general election. The new coalition was intended to include the United Sabah Party, Homeland Solidarity Party and remnants of former Sabah BN members, mainly those of the United Malays National Organisation's Sabah branch led by Musa Aman who was rumoured to have intended on joining to PBS. However, no such move materialised, with Musa Aman remaining a member of UMNO and BN.

Datuk Arthur Joseph Kurup is a Malaysian politician, lawyer and economist who has served as the Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Security in the Unity Government administration under Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim and Minister Mohamad Sabu since December 2023 and the Member of Parliament (MP) for Pensiangan since May 2018. He served as the Deputy Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation in the PH administration under Prime Minister Anwar and Minister Chang Lih Kang from December 2022 to December 2023, Deputy Minister of Works in the Barisan Nasional (BN) administration under former Prime Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob and former Minister Fadillah Yusof from August 2021 to the collapse of the BN administration in November 2022 and the Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of Economic Affairs in the Perikatan Nasional (PN) administration under former Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin and former Minister Mustapa Mohamed from March 2020 to the collapse of the PN administration in August 2021. He is a member of the Parti Bersatu Rakyat Sabah (PBRS), a component party of the BN coalition and the eldest son of 1st and founding President of PBRS Joseph Kurup. He has also served as the 2nd President of PBRS since January 2023. He also previously served as the Deputy President of PBRS from November 2015 to his promotion to party presidency in January 2023, the Vice President and Youth Chief of PBRS.

It was a component of the previously planned Gabungan Rakyat Saksama (SAKSAMA) coalition.

This coalition was preceded by the Malaysian Party Alliance Association, also known as the Persatuan Perikatan Parti Malaysia (PPPM). The Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah or also registered as Parti Gagasan Bersama Rakyat Sabah and better known as Gagasan Rakyat, is a political party based in Sabah, Malaysia mainly to serve as a Sabah-based community and regionalist party. The party was formed and registered on 28 August 2013 by Sabah local politician, Ationg Tituh as a multi-racial Sabah opposition party then with the vision to present the views and will of the original Sabahans to the government. It is only started to be active in 2016 and relatively little-known new party, initially registered as Parti Gagasan Bersama Rakyat Sabah, was among the latest new parties registration approved by the Registrar of Society (RoS) and just received permission to operate as a political party in 2013. This party is the main component of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) since 9 December 2022.

YB Datuk Annuar Ayub @Banand is a Malaysian politician from Liawan, Sabah region. He is the STAR Vice president representing Liawan constituency and also the Sabah State Assemblyman for the Liawan constituency, replacing Rasinin Kautis after winning the seat in the 2020 Sabah state election. He became the official member of Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR), the component party of GRS since 2018. He started his career as politician in 18 December 2018 after Annuar officially joined the Homeland Solidarity Party (STAR).
