The Greater Saint Louis Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America was formed in 1911 and is based in St. Louis, Missouri. The council serves Scouts in the St. Louis Metro area, southeast Missouri, and southern and central Illinois.
Founded in 1885 by Sumner F. Dudley, Camp Dudley is the oldest continually running boys camp in the United States. It is located in Westport, New York, on the shores of Lake Champlain. In 1993, it was included within the Camp Dudley Road Historic District when listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp is a Michigan nonprofit organization located in the Manistee National Forest that provides summer fine arts camp and international exchange programs in music, art, dance, and drama.
Camp Orkila is on the northwest shoulder of Orcas Island in the San Juan Islands of Washington, overlooking Presidents Channel, and the Canadian Gulf Islands. It has been in operation since 1906.
The Central Florida Council serves Boy Scouts in Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Lake, Brevard, Volusia and Flagler Counties in Florida. Its headquarters was previously located in Orlando, Florida and is currently located in Apopka, Florida, just north of Orlando. Its primary Scout camp is Camp La-No-Che in Paisley, Florida, adjacent to the Ocala National Forest.
Northeastern Pennsylvania Council, with headquarters in Moosic, Pennsylvania, formed in 1990 from the merger of Forest Lakes Council and Penn Mountains Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It covers the metropolitan area of Scranton and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. The council serves Lackawanna, Luzerne, Pike, Wayne, Wyoming counties, and portions of Susquehanna county.
YMCA Camp Fitch is a year-round camp in North Springfield, Pennsylvania, owned and operated by the YMCA of Youngstown, Ohio. Prior to 1914, all summer camps operated by the YMCA of Youngstown were experimental and temporary in nature. Since its founding in 1914, Camp Fitch has hosted campers every year to date. Originally a program of the YMCA's downtown branch, Camp Fitch now exists as a YMCA branch owned by the YMCA of Youngstown.
The Pines Catholic Camp, located in Big Sandy, Texas outside of Tyler and 2 hours east of Dallas, is a Catholic summer camp and retreat center. As an accredited camp with the American Camp Association (ACA), The Pines seeks to continue to “give youth the confidence and the strength they need to continue their faith journey and to help them foster healthy vocations.” Although not affiliated with any diocese, The Pines has a close relationship with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Dallas and follows their Safe Environment Guidelines.
Gerber Scout Reservation (GSR), located in Twin Lake, Michigan is a resident camp owned and operated by the Michigan Crossroads Council of the Boy Scouts of America. It began operation in 1950 and had its first official summer camp program in 1951. The Original property was purchased through a gift of 275 shares from Dan Gerber, President of the famous baby food company. The reservation operates two camps; Gerber Scout Camp and the Betty Ford Cub Scout and Webelos Adventureland, as well as numerous year round weekend programming outside of the summer months.
Three Mile Island is an island on Lake Winnipesaukee in New Hampshire, located three miles from the town of Center Harbor. It has been owned by the Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) since 1900 and is run as a full-service camp during the summer.
The St. Methodios Faith and Heritage Center is a 223-acre (90 ha) camp run by the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Boston and located in the town of Hopkinton, New Hampshire near the village of Contoocook. The site occupies the former village of Cloughville and had previously been home to Camp Merrimac.
Pinewoods Camp is a traditional dance and music camp located on 31 acres (13 ha) of woodland between Long Pond and Round Pond in Plymouth, Massachusetts. It is the oldest continuously run folk dance camp in the U.S., and is arguably the most popular and well-known camp of its type.
The Great Sauk Trail Council is a defunct local council of the Boy Scouts of America which was based out of Ann Arbor, Michigan serving Livingston County, Washtenaw County, Jackson County, Lenawee County, Hillsdale County, Monroe County, Eastern Calhoun County, and the city of Flat Rock, in Michigan.
The Michigan Crossroads Council (MCC) is a local council of the Boy Scouts of America that encompasses the Lower Peninsula of Michigan. The council was formed in 2012 by the merger of nine councils.
Luther Point Bible Camp is an ELCA affiliated Christian Bible camp located in Northwestern Wisconsin. Youth and young adults have the opportunity to come and be a part of the outdoor ministry that Luther Point offers year-round, along with approximately 45 summer staff, 5-10 full-time year-round staff, and many volunteers. Luther Point sits on a peninsula surrounded on three sides by the water of Wood Lake as well as meadows and woods on land.
Pathway to Adventure Council is a Boy Scouts of America local council headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. Created from the merger of four councils, it now spans over a large portion of Chicago metropolitan area and part of Northwest Indiana. The council operates two camps and four service centers and has over 21,000 youth members.
Lanakila Camp is a private summer camp for boys on Lake Morey in Fairlee, Vermont. Founded in 1922 on the grounds of a 19th-century farm property, it is one of the state's older organized camps, with a significant number of period buildings in the Adirondack rustic style. The camp offers an array of outdoor activities, including water and field sports and hiking, and indoor arts and crafts programs, all generally infused with an educational purpose. It has a full 7 and a half week session, as well as two three-week sessions, typically running from late June to mid-August. During the off-season, its facilities are used as the Hulbert Outdoor Center, an educational center for adults, children, school groups and special events. The camp property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2003.
Camp Rock Enon or CRE is a Boy Scouts of America resident summer camp for both younger and older youth with high adventure opportunities. The mineral springs of the area afforded the development of a resort in 1856. 89 years later in 1944 the resort and most of the land began the conversion to youth development resources. The summer camp includes familiar outdoor programs like aquatics, camping, cooking, fishing, handicraft, and shooting sports, yet also includes less common programs like canyoneering, rappelling, rock climbing, scuba, space exploration, volleyball, white water rafting, and wilderness survival. The property includes 14 campsites that accommodate from 16 to 56 campers in tents or Adirondack shelters as well as a dining hall that can serve 450 at a time. The camp is 1.6 miles (2.6 km) from the border of Virginia and West Virginia, 35 miles (56 km) from the Maryland border, and also 35 miles (56 km) from the Pennsylvania border. Units from Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia most often frequent the property.
The Camp Ouareau, established in 1922, is one of the two oldest summer camps exclusively dedicated to young girls and still active in Canada. Camp Ouareau is located at Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci, in the regional county municipality (MRC) of Matawinie, in the administrative region of Lanaudière, in the province of Quebec, in Canada.
Camp Mather is the 337-acre (136 ha) Sierra Nevada family summer camp in Mather, California run by the San Francisco Recreation & Parks Department which welcomes nearly 10,000 campers each summer. Founded in 1923, the camp opened in 1924 and offers nearly three months of week-long camping experiences each year.
