Elections were held in the Australian state of Queensland on 11 May 1929 to elect the 72 members of the state's Legislative Assembly. In this election, Irene Longman became the first woman to both stand and be elected into the Queensland Parliament.

Samuel John Brassington was an Australian politician. He was a Labor member of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland, serving as the member for Balonne from 1927 to 1932 and for Fortitude Valley from 1933 to 1950. He served as Speaker of the Legislative Assembly of Queensland from 1944 to 1950.

Edward Land Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly

Edward Martin Land was a Member of the Queensland Legislative Assembly. He represented the seat of Balonne from 1904 to 1927.

Balonne was an electoral district of the Legislative Assembly in the Australian state of Queensland from 1873 to 1932, and again from 1950 to 1992. It was named after the Balonne River.

John George Appel (1859–1929) was an Australian politician, lawyer, and farmer. He served from 1908-1929 as a delegate for the electoral district of Albert and from 1909-1915 as the Secretary of Mine and Public Works and Home Secretary of Queensland.

Arthur Edward Moore was an Australian politician. He was the Country and Progressive National Party Premier of Queensland, from 1929 to 1932.
