Canton of Lapalisse

The canton of Lapalisse is an administrative division of the Allier department, in central France. At the French canton reorganisation which came into effect in March 2015, it was expanded from 15 to 31 communes. Its seat is in Lapalisse. [1]

Allier is a French department located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region of central France named after the river Allier. Moulins is the prefecture and the INSEE and Post Code is 03.

In the administrative divisions of France, the department is one of the three levels of government below the national level, between the administrative regions and the commune.
