The Careers Development Group was a workfare organisation and Work Programme provider in the United Kingdom. [1]

Pursuing a goal of providing a helping hand to needy and jobless people, Careers Development Group had been working for over three decades. According to their records, in 2011/12, the organization helped over 30,000 people into jobs. As well as their work program, young people from South London had been getting support from the organization in job placement in social and charity enterprises. [2]

South London is the southern part of London, England. Situated south of the River Thames, it includes the historic districts of Southwark, Lambeth, Bankside and Greenwich.

CDG won a "Best Contribution from a Third Sector Organization" award for its outstanding work.[ when? ] The year 2012 saw CDG merge with another charity, Shaw Trust. [2]

CDG group advocated: "A society in which everyone has the opportunity for employment, inclusion and independence". Hence, CDG not only provided jobs but also prepared people by imparting training for better placements. Their charity work included support for those with disabilities, health problems and lack of experience. [3]

Investors and business partners today want to know that the companies they choose are doing more than just providing a product or service. They look for companies that are doing good. They will feel a special connection to companies whose values align with their own.

The Princes Trust organization

The Prince's Trust is a charity in the United Kingdom founded in 1976 by Charles, Prince of Wales to help vulnerable young people get their lives on track. It supports 11 to 30 year-old who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law.

Mission Australia

Mission Australia is a non-denominational Christian charity that provides a range of community services throughout Australia. In 2016-17, Mission Australia employed approximately 2800 staff and 3200 volunteers, and supported more than 140,000 children, young people, adults and elderly people across 470 programs and services. The organisation specialises in the areas of homelessness and housing, families and children, early learning, youth, employment and skills, alcohol and other drugs, disability, mental health, and strengthening communities. James Toomey became CEO in November 2017, succeeding Catherine Yeomans, who served as CEO from March 2014.

Sufra organization

Sufra is a community "Food Bank & Kitchen", based in the London Borough of Brent. It aims to support families suffering food poverty in its neighborhood. Sufra was founded by Mohammed Mamdani; its name evokes an Arabic term meaning "Come to the table". It was officially founded in April, 2013 when the London Borough of Brent's council funded the charity in Raphael's Estate, one of the poorest estates in that area.

Seetec has since expanded to deliver a variety of services within the skills, employability, justice and health and well-being sectors.
