Carl Bryant Daniels (born August 26, 1970 in St. Louis, Missouri), is an American professional boxer in the Light Middleweight (154lb) division. He held the WBA Light Middleweight title in 1995.
Southpaw Daniels won the junior world championships 1987 and the Golden Gloves at flyweight.
He was a US feather champ in 1988 and beat Kevin Kelley in the Olympic trials. His record: 170-7.
Daniels, nicknamed "The Squirrel", turned pro in 1988 and in 1992 landed a shot at the WBC Light Middleweight Title against Terry Norris. Norris won via TKO. In 1995, he fought Julio César Green for the Vacant WBA Light Middleweight Title and won a decision. [1] In his first defense, he lost the title to Julio César Vásquez via 11th round TKO. Daniels was leading on the scorecards until the knockout happened; it ranked as Ring Magazine's Knockout Of The Year. In 1997 he got a chance to reclaim the belt against Laurent Boudouani, but lost a decision. It wasn't until 2002 that he got a shot at another major belt, taking on Bernard Hopkins and losing in a 10th round TKO. [2]

Julio César Chávez González, also known as Julio César Chávez Sr., is a Mexican former professional boxer who competed from 1980 to 2005. A multiple-time world champion in three weight divisions, Chávez was listed by The Ring magazine as the world's best boxer, pound for pound, from 1990 to 1993. During his career he held the WBC super featherweight title from 1984 to 1987, the WBA and WBC lightweight titles between 1987 and 1989, the WBC light welterweight title twice between 1989 and 1996, and the IBF light welterweight title from 1990 to 1991. He also held the Ring magazine and lineal lightweight titles from 1988 to 1989, and the lineal light welterweight title twice between 1990 and 1996. Chávez was named Fighter of the Year for 1987 and 1990 by the Boxing Writers Association of America and The Ring respectively.
William Torelle Joppy is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1993 to 2011, and held the WBA middleweight title three times between 1996 and 2003.
Meldrick Taylor is an American former professional boxer who competed from 1984 to 2002. He held world championships in two weight classes, including the IBF junior welterweight title from 1988 to 1990, and the WBA welterweight title from 1991 to 1992. As an amateur, Taylor won a gold medal in the featherweight division at the 1984 Summer Olympics.

He is one of the most successful boxers of the past three decades, having held multiple world championships in two weight classes, including the undisputed championship at middleweight from 2001 to 2005, and the lineal championship at light heavyweight from 2011 to 2012.

Mayweather retired at a record 50-0-0 while Pacquiao became the first eight division champion. The middleweight division saw immense action in the later years of the decade. After a draw in 2017, Canelo Alvarez ended Gennady Golovkin's long reign in 2018. The heavyweight division was dominated by Klitschko brothers before Wladimir's loss to Tyson Fury in 2015.
