Maria Carmela "Mela" Tunay is Filipina volleyball former player, actress, and TV host. She played for the UST Lady Tigresses in the UAAP and the Cignal HD Spikers in the PSL until 2016. She, then transferred and played for the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2017 to 2019.
Carmela Tunay, born in Mandaluyong and lives in Makati, [1] attended St Paul College in Makati. She graduated at the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in AB Communication Arts in. Tunay finished her Marketing master's degree in UST, during her last playing season, UAAP season 78. [2]
Tunay was a member of the UST Golden Tigresses, the collegiate varsity volleyball team of UST which plays in the UAAP Volleyball tournament. The Golden Tigresses finished 6th and 5th place in UAAP Season 76 and 77 respectively. In 2015, she joined the Cignal HD Spikers which plays in the Philippine Super Liga. During a game between the TIP and UST in the Shakeys V-League Collegiate Conference 2015, Tunay suffered a nose injury. [3] [4] [5] Two weeks later she was back in action when UST played against the UP Lady Maroons, and in the semifinals against ADMU Lady Blue Spikers and eventually lost to FEU Tamaraws on the third place game. [6]
With Petron Blaze Spikers, she won the 2017 PSL Invitational Cup silver medal, [7] 2017 PSL All-Filipino Conference gold medal [8] and 2017 PSL Grand Prix Conference silver medal. [9]

The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament.
The Cignal HD Spikers is a professional women's volleyball team in the Philippines. The club is owned by Cignal TV, Inc., a subsidiary of MediaQuest Holdings, Inc., a PLDT company.
Abigail "Aby" Palmares Maraño is a Filipino professional volleyball player who plays for F2 Logistics Cargo Movers in the Premier Volleyball League.
Rachel Anne Lopez Daquis is a Filipino volleyball player. She graduated from the Far Eastern University where she took up Business Management. She was also the team captain of the PLDT HOME TVolution women's team that played in the 2014 Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship. She is a former team captain of the FEU Lady Tamaraws in her collegiate years, where she was given the title "Queen Tamaraw". She played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) with the Cignal HD Spikers and is the PSL's brand ambassador for 2018 to 2019. In 2020, her team Cignal HD Spikers transfers to Premier Volleyball League.
Aleona Denise "Dindin" Antonio Santiago-Manabat is a Filipino volleyball player. She played in the UAAP during her collegiate years for the NU Lady Bulldogs and started her professional career in the Philippine Super Liga as the first overall pick in the 2014 season for Petron Blaze Spikers.
Aiza Maizo-Pontillas is a Filipina professional volleyball player. She was a former member and team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses, and a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team. She led the España-based squad to its 16th and, as of 2018, latest championship in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) league. She was a Shakey's V-League (SVL) three-time Finals and two-time Season Most Valuable Player. Maizo is known for bagging several best-of awards in almost all volleyball skill departments in UAAP and SVL, excluding setting and digging. She is also known as the first Filipina in the entire franchise of SVL to take both Finals and Season MVP in a single conference twice.
Rhea Katrina Karla Dimaculangan is a Filipino professional indoor volleyball athlete, and a former member of the Philippines women national volleyball team and the club Petron Tri-Activ Spikers. Dimaculangan played setter for and was a former captain of the UST Golden Tigresses.
Mika Aereen Marcaliñas Reyes is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a Middle Hitter/Blocker and is currently playing in the PVL Premier Volleyball League in the Philippines.
Kim Alano Fajardo is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She was the team captain of the De La Salle University women's volleyball team for Season 78 and 79.
Ennajie Cruz Laure, better known as EJ Laure, is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a member and a former team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team, and a former Philippine national team member.
Mary Joy Dela Cruz Baron, also known as Majoy Baron, is a Filipino volleyball player. She went to Concepcion Catholic School in Concepcion, Tarlac. She attended college at De La Salle University. She is currently playing for the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers playing as a middle blocker. Baron is also part of the Philippine National Women's Volleyball Team.
