Maria Carmela "Mela" Tunay is Filipina former volleyball player, actress, and TV host. She played for the UST Lady Tigresses in the UAAP and the Cignal HD Spikers in the PSL until 2016. She then transferred and played for the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2017 to 2019.
Carmela Tunay was born in Mandaluyong. She resides in Makati [1] where she attended Saint Paul College. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts. Tunay finished her Marketing master's degree in UST, during her last playing season, UAAP season 78. [2]
Tunay was formerly in a relationship with fellow volleyball player Kim Fajardo. Their relationship lasted for seven years until it ended sometime during the COVID-19 pandemic in the early 2020s. [3]
Tunay was a member of the UST Golden Tigresses, the collegiate varsity volleyball team of UST which plays in the UAAP Volleyball tournament. The Golden Tigresses finished 6th and 5th place in UAAP Season 76 and 77 respectively. In 2015, she joined the Cignal HD Spikers which plays in the Philippine Super Liga. During a game between the TIP and UST in the Shakeys V-League Collegiate Conference 2015, Tunay suffered a nose injury. [4] [5] [6] Two weeks later she was back in action when UST played against the UP Lady Maroons, and in the semifinals against ADMU Lady Blue Spikers and eventually lost to FEU Tamaraws on the third place game. [7]
With Petron Blaze Spikers, she won the 2017 PSL Invitational Cup silver medal, [8] 2017 PSL All-Filipino Conference gold medal [9] and 2017 PSL Grand Prix Conference silver medal. [10]

The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament.

Aleona Denise "Dindin" Antonio Santiago-Manabat is a Filipino volleyball player. She played in the UAAP during her collegiate years for the NU Lady Bulldogs and started her professional career in the Philippine Super Liga as the first overall pick in the 2014 season for Petron Blaze Spikers.
Aiza Maizo-Pontillas is a Filipina professional volleyball player. She was a former member and team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses, and a former member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team.
Rhea Katrina Karla Dimaculangan-Villarete is a Filipino professional indoor volleyball athlete, and a former member of the Philippines women national volleyball team. She last played for the PLDT Home Fibr Power Hitters in the Premier Volleyball League. Dimaculangan played setter for and was a former captain of the UST Golden Tigresses.
Mika Aereen Marcaliñas Reyes is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a middle hitter/blocker and is currently playing for PLDT High Speed Hitters in the Premier Volleyball League.
Kim Kianna Mababa Dy is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She is a member of the Philippines women's national volleyball team and the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
Kim Alano Fajardo is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She was the team captain of the De La Salle University women's volleyball team for Season 78 and 79.
Ennajie Cruz Laure, better known as EJ Laure, is a Filipino volleyball player. She is a member and a former team captain of the UST Golden Tigresses volleyball team, and a former Philippine national team member.
Mary Joy "Majoy" Dela Cruz Baron is a Filipino volleyball player. She attended college at De La Salle University and played for its volleyball team. She is currently playing for the PLDT High Speed Hitters playing as a middle blocker. Baron is also part of the Philippine National Women's Volleyball Team.

George Pascua is a Filipino volleyball coach who is the head coach of the Adamson Soaring Falcons' men's volleyball team. He was the head coach of the PLDT High Speed Hitters during the 2022 season of the Premier Volleyball League. He was also a longtime coach of the Far Eastern University's women's volleyball team and a former player of the university's men's team.
