Carolina Country Music Fest (CCMF) is an outdoor country music festival that takes place in June of each year in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. The festival was founded in 2015 by Charlotte-based company Full House Productions. [1] [2]
Carolina Country Music Fest is held at the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk within the Burroughs and Chapin Pavilion Place (former Myrtle Beach Pavilion site). [3] and is a three-day (Friday through Sunday) country music festival that begins with the McDonald's Thursday Night Kick-Off Concert Powered by MyrtleBeach.com on Thursday evening. [2] The premiere event in 2015 brought in over 20,000 attendees, [4] while the second year (2016) brought in 25,000. [5] The 2017 CCMF welcomed 30,000 people to the festival. [6] In 2020, the festival was cancelled due to COVID-19, [7] but was welcomed to Myrtle Beach once again from June 10–13, 2021. The sold-out 2021 festival drew an estimated 35,000 attendees. [8]
The Carolina Country Music Fest spans 18 acres of coastal area from the boardwalk to Ocean Boulevard, and added a fifth stage in 2021 to accommodate more artists and larger crowds. The stages include the Coors Light Main Stage, the Crown Royal Stage, Bluemoon Sound Stage and the Coca-Cola Stage + the private artist ZYN stage. As with nearly all festivals and major events in 2020, CCMF was unable to hold their annual event for the first time since it began in 2015. CCMF was originally scheduled for June 4 – 7, 2020, but was rescheduled to September 17 – 20, 2020 due to concerns surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. [18] While a number of other large events also moved their dates to Fall of 2020, the event was still able to secure nearly their entire original lineup. Unfortunately, as the pandemic continued and it became apparent that a gathering of that size would not be able to be done safely, CCMF announced on August 11, 2020, that it would be rescheduling their upcoming festival to June 2021. Tuesday April 12, 2021, it was announced that Myrtle Beach City Council granted the organizers a special event permit for the four-day music festival. [20] [21] The annual Carolina Country Music Fest made its return to Myrtle Beach June 10–13 of 2021. The festival brought back nearly all of its 2020 artist lineup, including major headliners Luke Combs, Eric Church, Darius Rucker and Jake Owen. [22] [23] On January 14, 2021, it was announced that Rodney Atkins and LoCash were added to the lineup. [24] The sold-out event drew an estimated 35,000 attendees. [8]

The lineup included Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Chase Rice, Chris Lane, Riley Green, Jon Pardi, LoCash, Jimmie Allen, Gabby Barrett, The Marshall Tucker Band, Rodney Atkins, Chris Janson, Elvie Shane, Tenille Townes, Frank Ray, Brittney Spencer, Jukebox Rehab, Lewis Brice, Neon Union and more. The once again sold-out event drew 35,000 attendees. [12]
The eighth annual Carolina Country Music Fest will be held June 8 – 11, 2023. [25] On July 22, 2022, it was announced that Morgan Wallen will be a headliner for CCMF in 2023. [26] [27] On August 12,2022, it was announced that Miranda Lambert will be the first female country artist in CCMF history to headline one of the nights at the Carolina Country Music Fest. [28] [29] On August 13, 2022, it was announced that CCMF has sold out their mainstage VIP tickets for 2023 festival. Also announced was that 2 more headline acts to be announced and also that general admission tickets are available to purchase. [30] On May 9, 2023, Morgan Wallen announced that cords his next six weeks of shows including CCFM have been postponed due to damaging his vocal cords. CCMF said are working to reschedule Morgan for 2024 and wished him a speedy recovery. [31] [32] On May 9, 2023, it was announced that Kenny Chesney would be headlining at CCMF Saturday, June 10 in place of Morgan Wallen. The founder of CCMF said that the lineup for this year is stacked and that Kenny is going to throw a great party. [33] On may 23,2023, it was announced that the CCMF pre-party will be held at Rip-Tydz in Myrtle Beach on June 7, 2023, at 7pm. The event will be sponsored by Coors Light and will feature live music, drink specials, and great food. [34]
On February 10, 2022, it was announced the CCMF was nominated for festival of the year by the Academy of Country Music Awards. CCMF is one of five events in the running for festival of the year [35]
On April 14, 2023, it was announced the CCMF one of 6 festivals nominated for the Academy of Country Music’s festival of the year award. The annual ACM awards shows will be held at 8 p.m. May 11 at the Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. [36] [37]

Myrtle Beach is a resort city on the East Coast of the United States in Horry County, South Carolina. It is located in the center of a long and continuous 60-mile (97 km) stretch of beach known as the "Grand Strand” in the northeastern part of the state. Its year-round population was 35,682 as of the 2020 census, making it the 13th-most populous city in South Carolina.
Coachella is an annual music and arts festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. It was co-founded by Paul Tollett and Rick Van Santen in 1999, and is organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Presents. The event features musical artists from many genres of music, including rock, pop, indie, hip hop and electronic dance music, as well as art installations and sculptures. Across the grounds, several stages continuously host live music.
Ultra Music Festival (UMF) is an annual outdoor electronic music festival that takes place in March in Miami, Florida. The festival was founded in 1999 by Russell Faibisch and Alex Omes.

WPDE-TV is a television station licensed to Florence, South Carolina, United States, serving the Pee Dee and Grand Strand regions of South Carolina and affiliated with ABC and The CW. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which also operates Dabl affiliate WWMB under a shared services agreement (SSA) with owner Howard Stirk Holdings. The two stations share studios on University Boulevard in Conway; WPDE-TV's transmitter is located on Pee Dee Church Road in Floydale, South Carolina.
The Pitchfork Music Festival is an annual music festival in Union Park in Chicago, Illinois, organized by the online magazine Pitchfork. Starting in 2011, the festival announced a branch staged in Paris at Grande halle de la Villette. The festival, which is normally held over three days in July, focuses primarily on artists and bands from the alternative rock, hip hop, electronic and dance music genres, although it has also ranged into hardcore punk, experimental rock and jazz in its lineups. While it started as a showcase for just the "cutting edge", it later took on a broader depth and vision, keeping the cutting-edge focus but also including important artists and acts that have influenced newer performers and artists. A branch planned for Berlin at Tempodrom in 2020 was cancelled.
Broadway at the Beach is a shopping center and entertainment complex located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Broadway at the Beach is owned and operated by Burroughs & Chapin. The $250 million attraction is set on 350 acres (1.4 km2) in the heart of Myrtle Beach and features three theaters, over 20 restaurants and over 100 specialty shops as well as attractions, Clubs for the night, and hotels, all surrounding the 23-acre (93,000 m2) Lake Broadway. Broadway at the Beach receives upwards of 14 million visitors annually.
Freestyle Music Park, formerly called Hard Rock Park, was a music-themed amusement park in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Built on 55 acres (22 ha), the park was located at the intersection of US 501 and the Intracoastal Waterway. It included part of the former Waccamaw Factory Shoppes in Fantasy Harbour, and its headquarters was located in Mall 3.
The Myrtle Beach Pavilion was a historic pay-per-ride, no parking fee, 11-acre amusement park that was located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina at the corner of 9th Avenue North and Ocean Boulevard. It was just a few blocks down from another Myrtle Beach amusement park, the Family Kingdom Amusement Park; both in the "heart" of Myrtle Beach. "The Pavilion" had well over 40 different attractions for kids and thrill-seekers alike, and included the wooden rollercoaster Hurricane: Category 5. Despite all the best efforts made by citizens to save the park, it was lost to redevelopment in 2007. While the park was officially closed and became a vacant lot on 9th Avenue and Ocean Boulevard in 2007, some of the rides and attractions were moved to Broadway at the Beach. Broadway at the Beach and the land at 9th Avenue are both owned by Burroughs & Chapin.
The Country Stampede Music Festival is an outdoor country music and camping festival held at Heartland Motorsports Park, south of Topeka, Kansas. The festival has been held annually since 1996, historically on the last weekend in June.
Carolina Southern Railroad was located off of Main Street in Conway, South Carolina, and was one of the few remaining train depots/lines in South Carolina. The railroad was originally erected in late 1886 and the first train steamed into the Conway Depot in December 1887. R.J. Corman Railroad Group took over the operations in 2015.
The Stagecoach Festival is an annual country music festival held at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Coachella Valley in the Colorado Desert. Organized by Goldenvoice, a subsidiary of AEG Presents, it is a sister event to the Coachella festival, and held on the weekend immediately following the conclusion of Coachella.
Inlet Square Mall was a single-level, 434,482-square-foot (40,364.7 m2) regional shopping center located in Garden City, South Carolina, United States. Opened in 1990, the mall originally housed 45 stores and services, but as of December 2023, it only has two major tenants remaining: Belk and Planet Fitness. The mall has encountered multiple difficulties due to store closures, including major anchors like Kmart and JCPenney, as well as junior anchors Stein Mart and Books-A-Million.
Black Bike Week, also called Atlantic Beach Bikefest, Black Bikers Week, and The Black Pearl Cultural Heritage and Bike Festival, is an annual motorcycle rally in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area, held on Memorial Day weekend. Called a "one-of-a-kind event" and "an exhibitionist's paradise" by Jeffrey Gettleman, Black Bike Week is "all about riding, styling and profiling," in the words of Mayor Irene Armstrong of Atlantic Beach, South Carolina.
The Myrtle Beach Skywheel is a 187-foot tall (57.0 m) observation wheel located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, that opened May 20, 2011. At the time of its opening was the second-tallest extant Ferris wheel in North America, after the 212-foot (64.6 m) Texas Star in Dallas, and the tallest wheel in the United States east of the Mississippi River. It is now the sixth-tallest Ferris wheel in the United States.
Country Thunder is a music festival company that hosts several concerts in North America each year. They have operated festivals in Arizona since 1993, in Wisconsin since 1996, in Saskatchewan since 2005, in Alberta since 2016, and in Florida since 2019. Each festival offers entertainment on multiple stages. The main stage hosts national acts, with talent playing throughout the day. The side stage gives local artists opportunities to perform.
Morgan Cole Wallen is an American country music singer and songwriter. He competed in the sixth season of The Voice, originally as a member of Usher's team, but later as a member of Adam Levine's team. After being eliminated in the playoffs of that season, he signed to Panacea Records, releasing his debut EP, Stand Alone, in 2015. He has received several awards including an Academy of Country Music Award and fourteen Billboard Music Awards.
On December 17, 2013, Heather Elvis, of Carolina Forest, South Carolina, United States, went on a first date with a man that ended when he dropped her off at her apartment the following morning at 1:15 a.m. The date had been Elvis' attempt to move on after a relationship with Sidney Moorer, a repairman she had met through her job at a local restaurant, that had ended two months earlier. At 1:44 a.m., Elvis called her roommate, Brianna Warrelmann, who was visiting family, to tell her how the date had gone. The conversation lasted approximately ten minutes. Warrelman had advised Elvis against returning Sidney's calls, and cautioned Elvis "not to do anything rash and to get some sleep." Elvis' cell phone activity ended that day around 6 a.m., and she has not been seen or heard from since.
