Caryocolum crepusculella is a moth of the family Gelechiidae. It was described by Karl August Teich from Latvia.^[1]

Moths comprise a group of insects related to butterflies, belonging to the order Lepidoptera. Most lepidopterans are moths, and there are thought to be approximately 160,000 species of moth, many of which have yet to be described. Most species of moth are nocturnal, but there are also crepuscular and diurnal species.

The Gelechiidae are a family of moths commonly referred to as twirler moths or gelechiid moths. They are the namesake family of the huge and little-studied superfamily Gelechioidea, and the family's taxonomy has been subject to considerable dispute. These are generally very small moths with narrow, fringed wings. The larvae of most species feed internally on various parts of their host plants, sometimes causing galls. Douglas-fir (Pseudotsuga) is a host plant common to many species of the family, particularly of the genus Chionodes, which as a result is more diverse in North America than usual for Gelechioidea.

Karl, or Carl, August Teich was a German entomologist who specialised in Lepidoptera especially of the Baltic region. He described Caryocolum crepusculella, Gelechia bergiella and Gelechia farinosa among others. Fragments of his microlepidoptera collections are held by the Latvian Museum of Natural History. The bulk did not survive.

This species was described from two syntypes collected on 27 June and 2 July on swamp land. According to the original description, C. crepusculella is related to Caryocolum vicinella and Caryocolum fischerella . However, the real identity of this species remains obscure as the Teich collection was destroyed.^[2]

Caryocolum petrophila is a moth of the family Gelechiidae. It is found in France, Italy, Austria, Switzerland, Estonia, Scandinavia, North Macedonia and Russia. It is also found in Turkey.

Caryocolum kroesmanniella is a moth of the family Gelechiidae. It is found from Fennoscandia to the Pyrenees, Alps and Romania and from Great Britain to southern Russia. The habitat consists of open woodland.

Caryocolum trinella is a moth of the family Gelechiidae. It was described from Armenia.
