Cassandra Danielle Harberts [1] (born June 4, 1992) is a former college and professional basketball player who was drafted by the Atlanta Dream of the WNBA and played a year in the Australian WNBL.

College

Harberts was coached by Michael Cooper her first three seasons at University of Southern California (USC) and by Cynthia Cooper-Dyke for her senior year. When she left USC, she was the teams number 7 all-time leader in points scored, number 8 all-time rebounder, and number 3 all-time in free throws made. [2]

Post College Basketball

Harberts was drafted 20th in the 2014 WNBA draft by the Atlanta Dream (coached by her former college coach Michael Cooper) but failed to make the team. She played in the 2014–2015 WNBL season for the West Coast Waves. [4]

Personal life

Harberts has two brothers, Steven and Daniel, and has parents named Craig and Dorothy. [5]

Cynthia Lynne Cooper-Dyke is an American basketball coach and former player who has won championships in college, in the Olympics, and in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She is considered by many as one of the greatest female basketball players ever. In 2011, Cooper-Dyke was voted by fans as one of the Top 15 players in WNBA history. Upon the league's formation, she played for the Houston Comets from 1997 to 2000, being named the Most Valuable Player of the WNBA Finals in all four seasons, and returned to play again in 2003. The Atlanta Dream are an American professional basketball team based in the Atlanta metropolitan area, playing in the Eastern Conference in the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The team was founded for the 2008 WNBA season. The team is owned by real estate investors Larry Gottesdiener, Suzanne Abair, and former Dream player Renee Montgomery. Although the Dream share the Atlanta market with the National Basketball Association's Hawks, the Dream is not affiliated with its NBA counterpart. They finished the season 14–16, 5–13 in Pac-12 play, to finish in a four-way tie for ninth place. They lost in the first round Pac-12 women's basketball tournament to California.

The 2017–18 USC Trojans women's basketball team represented the University of Southern California during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I women's basketball season. The Trojans, led by first year head coach, 6th overall Mark Trakh, played their home games at the Galen Center and were members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the season 20–11, 9–9 in Pac-12 play to finish in seventh place. They defeated Washington State in the first round before losing to Stanford in the quarterfinals of the Pac-12 women's basketball tournament to Stanford. They would have clinched the automatic berth to the 2018 Women's National Invitation Tournament, but declined to participate, despite being the highest-ranked non-NCAA team in the Pac-12.

She is known for her playmaking, speed and crossover skills. In her rookie season with the Storm, she won her first WNBA championship as they swept the Washington Mystics. Rhonda Windham is a former WNBA general manager of the Los Angeles Sparks from 1997 to 1999. Before joining the Sparks, Windham played basketball at the University of Southern California between 1982 and 1987. With USC, Windham scored 1,040 points and was the assists leader for each season except for 1984. During her last year in college, Windham played at the 1987 Summer Universiade and received the 1987 Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award.

Nicky McCrimmon is an American former professional basketball player who was on the Los Angeles Sparks between 2000 and 2003. Before joining the Sparks, McCrimmon played basketball on the New Mexico Junior College and University of Southern California teams. During her varsity career, McCrimmon played at the 1993 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament and the 1994 NCAA Division I women's basketball tournament with USC. After college, McCrimmon was on several teams in the American Basketball League from 1997 to 1998.
