Cathrine Laudrup-Dufour (born 2 January 1992) is a Danish Olympic dressage horse rider. [1] Representing Denmark, she competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro where she finished 13th in the individual and 6th in the team competition. At the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, she finished 4th in both the individual and team dressage events. [2] [3]
Dufour started riding at age 5 and joined the Danish national pony dressage team at age 12. She has won several medals at the Danish and European junior and young riders championships. [4]
She has studied Leisure Management, Sports Management for a year at University College Zealand. [4]

While studying Cathrine started up her own company Cathrine Dressage, through which she trains young riders and educates horses. She also develops training videos for the platform Cathrine Stream. [5]
Cathrine Dufour is a brand-ambassador for the Danish bag brand Adax and collaborates with several other brands, including Trolle Company, [6] Cavalleria Toscana and Ingdam's. [7]
Dufour is married to Rasmine Laudrup, daughter of former professional footballer Brian Laudrup. [8] They live on an equestrian estate in Fredensborg north of Copenhagen. [9]
Princess Nathalie of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg is a Danish equestrian, an Olympian, and the daughter of Princess Benedikte of Denmark and Prince Richard of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. She is the niece of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark and King Constantine II of Greece. Her first cousin is King Frederik X of Denmark.
Isabell Werth is a German equestrian and world champion in dressage who competed in the Olympics six times winning twelve medals, seven of them gold. With this she beat Aladar Gerevich, Hungarian fencer and Mark Todd of New Zealand, record for the most years between first and last Olympic medals. She holds the record for the most Olympic medals won by any equestrian athlete.
The European Dressage Championships are the European championships for the equestrian discipline of dressage. They are held every two years in odd-numbered years. Gold, silver, and bronze medals are awarded in both individual and team competitions. There are also championships held for juniors, young riders, and ponies. Since 2015, the competition has shared a site and branding with vaulting, reining, jumping, and driving events. For sponsorship reasons, eventing is not included, as it is part of the FEI European Championships, echoing the combined World Equestrian Games concept. The first official combined event took place in Aachen in 2015.
Laura Tomlinson MBE is a German-British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 30 June 2012 the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) ranked her 3rd in the world riding Mistral Højris and 36th on Andretti H. In that year, Tomlinson, riding Mistral Højris under her maiden name of Laura Bechtolsheimer, won two medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London; gold for Great Britain in the team dressage with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin, the first ever Olympic team gold in the discipline for her country, and bronze in the individual dressage behind gold medalist and compatriot Dujardin.
Para-equestrian is an equestrian sport governed by the International Federation for Equestrian Sports (FEI), and includes two competitive events: One is para-equestrian dressage, which is conducted under the same basic rules as conventional dressage, but with riders divided into different competition grades based on their functional abilities. The other is para-equestrian driving, which operates under the same basic rules as combined driving but places competitors in various grades based on their functional abilities.

Adrienne Lyle is an American Olympic dressage rider. Representing the United States, she competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where she finished 37th in the individual competition, and the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo where she was won a silver medal in the team competition. After qualifying for the individual Grand Prix Freestyle at the 2020 Olympics she withdrew from the competition out of concern for her horse, Salvino.

Like all other equestrian events, the dressage competition is open-gender, with both male and female athletes competing in the same division. 60 riders from 30 nations are expected to compete.

Manon Clayes is a Paralympic equestrian of Belgium. She broke her neck and three vertebrae in her back in a horse-riding accident on Friday the 13th, April 2007. As a result of the accident, she sustained nerve damage on her right side and has only 30% power on that side of her body. She participated at the 2020 Summer Paralympics and won a bronze medal in both the Championship IV and Freestyle IV dressage competitions.
Suzanna Hext is a British Paralympic swimmer and equestrian, who won three gold medals in dressage at the 2017 FEI European Championships, and two medals at both the 2019 and 2023 World Para Swimming Championships. She finished fourth in two S5 swimming events at the 2020 Summer Paralympics.
