The Cayman Islands FA Cup is the top knockout tournament of the Cayman Islands football. [1] The cup was first known as the Schlitz Beer Cup and was donated by Jacques Scott. It was retired by Saprissa FC, the title holders from 1972 to 1974, and was renamed as the CIFA FA Cup. [2]

Association football – commonly known as football – is a popular sport in Cayman Islands. The Cayman Islands Football Association – the territory's football governing body – organizes the Men's and Women's national teams and administers the territory's professional league the Cayman Islands League. As members of Caribbean Football Union teams are eligible for the Caribbean Club Championship and the territory's membership in CONCACAF allows teams to participate in that organizations club and national team competitions. The Cayman Islands are also a member of FIFA and is therefore eligible to play in the World Cup.

The 2019–20 Cayman Islands Premier League was the 41st edition of top tier Cayman Islands Premier League football competition in the Cayman Islands. The season began on 19 October 2019. The season was indefinitely postponed on 12 March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The season was resumed on 15 August.

The season began on 25 September 2020 and concluded on 28 February 2021. Bodden Town were the defending champions from the previous season. Following the previous season, two teams, Alliance FC and North Side SC were relegated to the First Division, reducing the number of teams in the league to ten.
