It is an annual inter-ward/village Football Championship [1] only open to invited teams. It takes place at the Georgetown Football Club ground, [2] proposed alternate locations include Bourda, Mahaicony Community Centre, Victoria Community Centre and the Den Amstel Community Centre grounds. [3] It is coordinated by former national football coach Lennox Arthur. [3]

It was originally between teams in Georgetown, but was expanded to invite teams throughout the country. [4] The number of teams increased from 20 to 24 in 2016 [5]

The tournament planned for October 2020 was rescheduled due to COVID-19. [1] It has also been rescheduled in previous years to avoid conflicting with other major regional tournaments such as the Kashif & Shanghai Knockout Tournament. [6]
