Cechyny [t͡sɛˈxɨnɨ] is a settlement in the administrative district of Gmina Studzienice, within Bytów County, Pomeranian Voivodeship, in northern Poland. [1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) north of Studzienice, 6 km (4 mi) north-east of Bytów, and 74 km (46 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk.

The gmina covers an area of 175.96 square kilometres (67.9 sq mi), and as of 2006 its total population is 3,408.

It came into being on January 1, 1999, as a result of the Polish local government reforms passed in 1998. Its administrative seat and largest town is Bytów, which lies 79 kilometres (49 mi) west of the regional capital Gdańsk. The only other town in the county is Miastko, lying 37 km (23 mi) west of Bytów.
