Four middle schools feed into McNeil: Cedar Valley, Chisholm Trail, Pearson Ranch and Deerpark. The school colors are navy blue, forest green, and white, and the mascot is the Maverick.
Sullivan Central High School was a public high school located in Blountville, Tennessee under the authority of Sullivan County Schools. It served students from Blountville Middle School and Holston Middle School until it was incorporated into the new West Ridge High School in 2021. The school's mascot was the cougar, and its final principal was Mark Foster before the school's facilities transitioned into Central Middle School following the formation of West Ridge High.

It is part of Comal ISD and is one of the five high schools in the entire district. Canyon High School is zoned for students who live primarily in the southeastern Comal County area, including portions of New Braunfels as well as Garden Ridge, and portions of Schertz. The Texas–Permian Basin Falcons are the athletic teams that represent the University of Texas Permian Basin, located in Odessa, Texas, United States, in intercollegiate sports as a member of the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), primarily competing in Lone Star Conference for most of their varsity sports since the 2016–17 academic year. A UTPB Falcons football team was added for the 2016 NCAA Division II football season to bring the total number of varsity teams to 16. UTPB previously competed in the D-II Heartland Conference from 2006–07 to 2015–16; in the Red River Athletic Conference (RRAC) of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) from 1998–99 to 2005–06; and as an NAIA Independent from 1995–96 to 1997–98.
