The Center for Air and Space Law at the University of Mississippi School of Law has been the premier U.S. platform for Air and Space Law since 1965. [1] It is the only American Bar Association accredited law school to offer an LL.M., a JD Concentration and a Graduate Certificate [2] in Air and Space Law. [3] The core of the space law program was built by Stephen Gorove, one of the earliest jurists to focus on legal aspects of space exploration. [4]

The Center publishes the Journal of Space Law [5] twice yearly, as well as other publications on a broad range of aerospace topics.

New York Law School (NYLS) is a private law school in Tribeca, New York City. NYLS has a full-time day program and a part-time evening program. NYLS's faculty includes 54 full-time and 59 adjunct professors. Notable faculty members include Edward A. Purcell Jr., an authority on the history of the United States Supreme Court, and Nadine Strossen, constitutional law expert and president of the American Civil Liberties Union from 1991 to 2008.

Deborah N. Archer is an American civil rights lawyer and law professor. She is the Jacob K. Javits Professor at New York University and professor of clinical law at New York University School of Law. She also directs the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law and the Civil Rights Clinic at NYU School of Law. In January 2021, she was elected president of the American Civil Liberties Union, becoming the first African American to hold the position in the organization’s history.
