The Sandy and John Black Pavilion at Ole Miss, also known as the SJB Pavilion, is a multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Mississippi in University, Mississippi. The $96.5 million multipurpose arena^[4] is home to the University of Mississippi Rebels men's and women's basketball teams, with seating for up to 9,500 people. It is the largest on-campus basketball arena in the state of Mississippi. The facility also serves as a secondary student union, with a Steak 'N Shake and a Raising Cane's restaurant available to the community during normal business hours.^[4] The Pavilion replaced the Tad Smith Coliseum ^[5] in January 2016; the opening game, on January 7, saw the Rebels men defeat Alabama 74–66.^[2]

Vaught–Hemingway Stadium is an outdoor athletic stadium located in University, Mississippi, United States. Colonel Reb was the official mascot of Ole Miss Rebels, the collegiate athletic teams of the University of Mississippi in Oxford, Mississippi. Designed in 1936, the Colonel served as the teams' official sideline mascot from 1979 until 2003. The university replaced him in 2010 with a new on-field mascot, the Black Bear, who was replaced with Tony the Landshark in 2018.

C. M. "Tad" Smith Coliseum is an 8,867-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of the University of Mississippi. Through the first part of the 2015–16 basketball season, it was home to the University of Mississippi Rebels men's and women's basketball teams, but was replaced by a new arena, The Sandy and John Black Pavilion, in January 2016. It has also hosted many concerts, including Widespread Panic in September 1995 and The Allman Brothers with Gov't Mule in November 1995.

Bernard Johnson Coliseum is a 6,110-seat multi-purpose arena on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. It was built in 1976 and is home to the Sam Houston Bearkats men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the Bearkats women's volleyball team. Originally named the University Coliseum, it was renamed in 1986 for longtime Board of Trustees member Bernard G. Johnson of Houston. It hosted the Southland Conference men's basketball tournament in 2003. It was also home to XWO Reborn, a professional wrestling organization that promoted shows throughout south Texas.

The Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represents the University of Mississippi in the sport of basketball. The Rebels compete in the NCAA Division I and the Southeastern Conference (SEC). They started the 2015–16 season playing home games at Tad Smith Coliseum on the university's Oxford campus, but played their final game in that facility on December 22, 2015. The Rebels opened a new on-campus arena, The Pavilion at Ole Miss, on January 7, 2016. The Rebels were led by 12-year head coach Andy Kennedy until his resignation on February 18, 2018. Tony Madlock, an assistant under Kennedy, served as the interim head coach for the remainder of the 2017–18 season. On March 15, 2018, the school hired former Middle Tennessee head coach Kermit Davis as the new head coach and was formally introduced on March 19. Davis was fired in his sixth season on February 24, 2023, after posting a 2–13 conference record with two games remaining on the schedule. Assistant coach Win Case took over as interim coach for the remainder of the season.

Matthew Ollen Insell is the current Associate Head Coach of Women's Basketball at Middle Tennessee State University. Insell was the head coach of the Ole Miss women's basketball team from 2013 to 2018 before he was let go by Ole Miss following the 2018 season. Prior to his time at Ole Miss, Insell spent 5 years as an Assistant Coach at the University of Kentucky and one year as the Director of Basketball Operations at Louisiana Tech University. On May 7, 2018, Matt Insell was hired to work as assistant coach at Middle Tennessee State University. September 20, 2022, Matt Insell was promoted to Associate Head Coach at Middle Tennessee State University.

The 2015–16 Ole Miss Rebels men's basketball team represented the University of Mississippi in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Andy Kennedy was in his 10th year as head coach of Ole Miss. The Rebels, members of the Southeastern Conference, began the season playing home games at Tad Smith Coliseum, but moved to a new arena, The Pavilion at Ole Miss, on January 7, 2016. They finished the season 20–12, 10–8 in SEC play to finish in a tie for sixth place. They lost to Alabama in the second round of the SEC tournament. Despite having 20 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament.

The Rebels played their second full season in The Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi as members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 12–20, 5–13 in SEC play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the SEC tournament to South Carolina.

The Rebels were led by third-year head coach, Kermit Davis. The Rebels played their games at The Pavilion at Ole Miss in Oxford, Mississippi as members of the Southeastern Conference. They finished the season 16-12, 10-8 to finish in 6th place. They defeated South Carolina in the second round in the SEC Tournament before losing in the quarterfinals to LSU. They received an invitation to the NIT where they lost in the first round to Louisiana Tech.
