Ch'iyar Jaqhi (Aymara ch'iyara black, jaqhi precipice, cliff, [2] "black cliff", hispanicized spelling Chiaraque) is a mountain in the Peruvian Andes, about 4,800 metres (15,748 ft) high. It is located in the Moquegua Region, Mariscal Nieto Province, Carumas District. Ch'iyar Jaqhi lies west of the mountain Q'iwiri and southeast of Pinkilluni. [1]
Aymara is an Aymaran language spoken by the Aymara people of the Andes. It is one of only a handful of Native American languages with over one million speakers. It is located in the Moquegua Region, Mariscal Nieto Province, Carumas District, and in the Puno Region, El Collao Province, Santa Rosa District. It lies southwest of Qiwña Milluku and northwest of Kurawara (Curahuara). The Janq'u Jaqhi River originates on the east side of the mountain. It flows to the southeast.
