Cheryl-Ann Sankar (born 26 February 1964) is a Trinidad and Tobago taekwondo practitioner, born in Port of Spain. She competed at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. [1] She participated in the 1993, 1995, 1997 and 1999 World Taekwondo Championships. She won a bronze medal at the 1995 Pan American Games, and a silver medal at the 1996 Pan American Taekwondo Championships. [2]
Steven López is an American taekwondo competitor, a 2000 and 2004 Olympic gold medalist and a 2008 Olympic bronze medalist and 4th Dan in taekwondo. In 2001, he won the Lightweight Taekwondo World Championship, and in 2003 he won the Welterweight Taekwondo World Championship which he has since won in 2005, 2007 and 2009 making him the first Taekwondo fighter to win 5 World Championships. With 2 Olympic titles, 5 titles in taekwondo world championships and 1 title in taekwondo world cup he is the most titled champion after Hadi Saei who earns 9 world class titles.
Hamide Bıkçın Çetiner formerly known as Hamide Bıkçın Tosun is a female Turkish Taekwondo athlete, who competed in the Women's 49–57 kg weight class at the 2000 Summer Olympics held in Sydney, Australia and won the bronze medal.
Ivett Gonda is a Hungarian-born Canadian retired taekwondo competitor. She moved to Canada when she was four. From 1995 to mid 2013 Gonda competed professionally for Canada until she decided to compete for her native country, Hungary. Though currently competing for another nation, Ivett still continues to train and live in Canada.
