Chile lays claim to being one of 14 nations to participate at the inaugural 1896 Summer Olympics and made its debut appearance at the 1948 Winter Olympics. The national teams sent by Chile to each of the Olympic Games have been under the auspices of the Chilean Olympic Committee since its inception in 1934 and acceptance by the International Olympic Committee. Previous to the establishment of the Chilean Olympic Committee, athletes were sent to the Olympics under the auspices of the Chilean Athletics Federation.

Chile made its Paralympic Games début at the 1992 Summer Paralympics in Barcelona, sending a two-man delegation: a swimmer and a powerlifter. It has competed in every edition of the Summer Paralympics since then. Chile first competed in the Winter Paralympics in 2002, and has also taken part in every subsequent edition of the Winter Games. Chilean delegations to the Winter Games have been small, always consisting in just two athletes. At the 2012 Summer Paralympics, Chile won its first ever Paralympic medal when Cristian Valenzuela received a gold medal in the men's 5000 metres event for T11 competitors. At the 2020 Summer Paralympics, swimmer Alberto Abarza claimed the gold medal in the Men's 100 meter backstroke S2.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Chile Olympic football team</span>

The Chile Olympic football team represents Chile in international football competitions at the Olympic Games and Pan American Games. Since the 1992 tournament, the team is limited to players under the age of 23, except three overage players. The team is controlled by the Federación de Fútbol de Chile (FFCh). Combined with pre-1992 tournaments, Chile has qualified on four occasions to the Summer Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2000.

Dieter Linneberg is a Chilean alpine skier. He competed at the 1984 Winter Olympics and the 1988 Winter Olympics.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Venezuela men's national ice hockey team</span> Mens national ice hockey team representing Venezuela

The Venezuela national ice hockey team is the national men's ice hockey team of Venezuela, and is controlled by the Venezuelan Ice and Inline Hockey Association, the governing body that oversees both ice and inline hockey in the country. Venezuela is not a member of the IIHF and therefore not eligible to enter any IIHF World Championship events.
