Chowringhee is a 1968 Indian Bengali drama film by Pinaki Bhushan Mukherjee, starring Uttam Kumar and Subhendu Chatterjee who played the lead role and Biswajit Chatterjee, Supriya Devi and Anjana Bhowmick in supporting role. The music of the film was composed by Ashima Bhattachariya who also produced this film. The film is based on a Bengal novel of the same name by Shankar.

This is the debut film of the legendary director Tarun Majumder and it is regarded as one of the best films pairing Uttam-Suchitra. The film became a huge success.
Agni Pariksha is a 1954 Indian Bengali-language romantic drama film directed by Agradoot and starring Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen. The film was adapted from Asha Purna Devi's novel of the same name. The film became an overwhelming success critically and commercially. The movie was remade in Hindi in 1967 as Chhoti Si Mulaqat also starring Uttam Kumar. Before that, the movie was simultaneously made into a 1959 Telugu - Tamil bilingual titled Mangalya Balam in Telugu and Manjal Mahimai in Tamil.

Dui Purush is a 1945 Bengali language epic family drama film directed by Subodh Mitra. The film was produced by New Theatres and adapted from Tarashankar Bandyopadhyay's novel and popular stage play, with a screenplay by Binoy Chatterjee. The editing was done by Mitra, who was popularly known as Kachi Babu, and cited as one of the best editors in the film industry. The music director was Pankaj Mullick with lyrics by Sailen Roy. Naresh Guha (1923/24-2009) was a Bengali poet. He was born in 1923 (March) in Binnafoir village of Mymensingh district in undivided Bengal. His original name was Nareshchandra Guha Bakshi. He was son of Rameshchandra Guha Bakshi and Indumati devi. He died on 4'th January in 2009. He started his career as a journalist with the Jugantor, where he was friends with Amiya Chakrabarty. He reported on the 1946 Calcutta riots. In the 1950s, he worked as a college teacher, eventually joining the faculty of Jadavpur University. His first collection of poems came out in 1952, titled Duronto Dupur. He later won the Sahitya Akademi Award for his collected poems, titled Kobita Shongroho.
Agnishwar(English: The fire god) is a 1975 Indian Bengali language socio-political drama film co-written and directed by Arabinda Mukhopadhyay. The story of the film is based on the novel of the same name written by Balai Chand Mukhopadhyay, which itself was inspired from the life of his teacher Banabihari Mukhopadhyay. it stars Uttam Kumar in the titular role, alongside Madhabi Chakraborty, Sumitra Mukherjee, Kajal Gupta, Partha Mukherjee in lead roles, while Tarun Kumar, Dilip Roy, Asit Baran, Jahar Roy, Haridhan Mukhopadhyay play other pivotal roles. It deals with the life and career of a patriotic, idealistic doctor.

Ekti Raat is a 1956 Indian Bengali-language comedy film directed by Chitta Basu and produced by Harendranath Chattopadhyay based on, Bhimpalashree, a story of Bengali novelist Balai Chand Mukhopadhyay. The film stars Uttam Kumar and Suchitra Sen in the lead roles with Tulsi Chakraborty and Bhanu Banerjee. This film was released on 26 April 1956 in the banner of H.N.C. Productions. In the 1990s, a television series Manush, based on the same plot, aired. This film became successful at the box office.
Dhanraj Tamang is a 1978 Indian Bengali language vigilante action film co-written and directed by Pijush Bose based on the story of Charuchandra Chakraborty alias Jorasandha. The film was released under the banner of Usha Films starring Uttam Kumar, Sandha Roy, Utpal Dutta, Anil Chatterjee, Dilip Roy and Chaya Devi in lead roles. The soundtrack of the film was composed by Shyamal Mitra, with lyrics penned by Gauriprasanna Mazumder. Plotted in Sittong tea estate, Darjeeling, it revolves around Dhanraj Tamang, a tea estate worker who always fights against the predators who try to rape the women instead of job in the estate. All on a sudden, he gets prisoned for being falsely accused of raping his wife, Phoolmaya. He escapes from the jail to look into the matter and unfortunately discovers his boss to be the mastermind of all the rapes, including of his wife. After taking the revenge, Dhanraj becomes mad and dies in the Ranchi mental asylum.
Noukadubi is a Bengali drama film directed by Naresh Chandra Mitra based on a 1906 novel of the same name of Rabindranath Tagore. This film was released on 19 September 1947 under the banner of Bombay Talkies. This is a remake of 1946 Hindi film Milan made by the director Nitin Bose where Dilip Kumar starring in the lead role. It was among the big Bengali grossers of 1947.
Khokababur Pratyabartan is a 1960 Indian Bengali-language social drama film directed by Agradoot based on the 1891 short story of the same name by Rabindranath Tagore. The film stars Uttam Kumar in the lead with Asit Baran, Sumita Sanyal and others in supporting role. This film was released on 28 April 1960 under the banner of Agradoot Chitra. Music direction of the film was done by Hemanta Mukherjee. The film is remember as one of the best films of Uttam's career. His performance as a servant was greatly acclaimed. The film was a hit at the box office.
Bicharak is a Bengali-language psychological thriller film directed by Prabhat Mukherjee. Based on a novel of the same name by Tarasankar Bandyopadhyay, the film was produced by Arundhati Devi. This film was released in 1959 under the banner of Prabhat Productions and received National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Bengali in 1960. The film stars Uttam Kumar in the titular role alongside Arundhati Devi in the lead, while Chhabi Biswas, Pahadi Sanyal and Chandrabati Devi play other pivotal roles. The film showed Uttam Kumar one of the best performance ever as a Judge. This is also remembered as one of the best films in his career and best ever in Bengali Cinema history. The film also received huge critical acclamation and saw the commercial success.
Netaji is a Bengali biographical soap opera on the life of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose that premiered on 14 January 2019 and aired on Bengali GEC Zee Bangla. Based majorly on Udyata Kharga Subhash by Achintya Kumar Sengupta and produced by Surinder Films, the series stars Abhishek Bose in the eponymous role, with Basabdatta Chatterjee, marking her comeback on television, Dhruvajyoti Sarkar, Kaushik Chakraborty, Sriparna Roy, Debopriyo Sarkar, Sohan Bandopadhyay, Fahim Mirza appearing in other recurring roles. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shooting of the series was stalled. It was rumoured that along with Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni, this series will be axed the channel. Putting rest to such rumours, the shooting started from June 11 and new episodes started to air from June 15, 2020. The show went off air on 1st August 2020.
