Chong Wai-kin is a Hong Kong television producer and director.

He first entered Asia Television (ATV) as a director and producer for the channel's television dramas. In 1989, he moved to Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and has stayed in the company ever since. He is known for producing many of TVB's grand-production television dramas, such as Revelation of the Last Hero (1992), A Step into the Past (2001), and Born Rich (2009).[ citation needed ]

Asia Television Limited is a digital media and broadcasting company in Hong Kong. Established as the first television service in Hong Kong as Rediffusion Television on 29 May 1957, it shifted to terrestrial television on 30 November 1973, and was renamed Asia Television on 24 September 1982. ATV operated two main over-the-air channels: the Cantonese-language ATV Home, and ATV World.

<i>A Step into the Past</i> 2001 Hong Kong television series

A Step into the Past is a 2001 Hong Kong television series produced by TVB and based on Wong Yik's novel of the same Chinese title. The series tells the story of a 21st-century Hong Kong VIPPU officer who travels back in time to the Warring States period of ancient China. He is involved in a number of important historical events that leads to the first unification of China under the Qin dynasty. The series' first original broadcast ran from 15 October to 7 December 2001 on the TVB Jade network in Hong Kong.

<i>Born Rich</i> (TV series) television series

Born Rich is a 2009 Hong Kong television drama produced by TVB under executive producer Chong Wai-kin. The drama was promoted as TVB's "grand production" for 2009. Running for 39 episodes, the last two episodes were of two hours each.
