Chong Wai-kin is a Hong Kong television producer and director.
Hong Kong, officially the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China and commonly abbreviated as HK, is a special administrative region on the eastern side of the Pearl River estuary in southern China. With over 7.4 million people of various nationalities in a 1,104-square-kilometre (426 sq mi) territory, Hong Kong is the world's fourth most densely populated region.
He first entered Asia Television (ATV) as a director and producer for the channel's television dramas. In 1989, he moved to Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB) and has stayed in the company ever since. He is known for producing many of TVB's grand-production television dramas, such as Revelation of the Last Hero (1992), A Step into the Past (2001), and Born Rich (2009).[ citation needed ]
Asia Television Limited is a digital media and broadcasting company in Hong Kong. Established as the first television service in Hong Kong as Rediffusion Television on 29 May 1957, it shifted to terrestrial television on 30 November 1973, and was renamed Asia Television on 24 September 1982. A Step into the Past is a 2001 Hong Kong television series produced by TVB and based on Wong Yik's novel of the same Chinese title.
