Demeioun "Chop" Robinson (born January 2, 2003) is an American professional football linebacker for the Miami Dolphins of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Maryland Terrapins and Penn State Nittany Lions. Robinson was selected by the Dolphins in the first round of the 2024 NFL draft.
Robinson was nicknamed "Pork-chop" because he weighed 14 pounds at birth; his name was later shortened to "Chop". [1] He attended Quince Orchard High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland. He committed to playing in the 2021 Under Armour All-American Game, however, the game was canceled due to COVID-19. That same season, he committed to play college football at University of Maryland, College Park. [2]
As a true freshman at Maryland in 2021, Robinson played in all 13 games with one start and had 19 tackles and two sacks. [3] [4]
After his freshman season, Robinson transferred to Penn State University. [5] [6] In his first season as a Nittany Lion, he played in 12 games and made 26 tackles and 5.5 sacks. [7]
He declared for the 2024 NFL draft following the 2023 season. [8]

Robinson was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 21st overall pick in the 2024 NFL draft. [11] Robinson signed his four-year rookie contract with a fifth-year option on June 13, 2024. [12]
