Christopher "Chris" Clenshaw (born 29 September 1986) is an English television producer, known for serving as the executive producer of the BBC soap opera EastEnders since 2022.
Christopher "Chris" Clenshaw was born on 29 September 1986 in Gravesend, Kent to Helen (née Antoniou) and Alfred Clenshaw and has a twin sister, Georgina. [1] [2] He began his career in television production working as an edit assistant on the BBC Three factual programme Freaky Eaters , before becoming a runner and ultimately head researcher on Richard & Judy between 2008 and 2009. [3] He then worked as a shooting researcher on various shows including Local Food Hero , 3@Three and One Night Stand with Ne-Yo. In 2010, Clenshaw joined the ITV daytime programme This Morning , initially as a researcher before going on to hold an array of positions within their production team including edit producer, assistant producer and digital producer prior to his departure from the programme in 2015. In July 2015, Clenshaw joined the BBC soap opera EastEnders as a writer and storyliner, before being promoted to script editor and ultimately story producer, before he left the role in January 2019 to become the producer of the BBC medical drama Holby City . [4] [5] In November 2021, Clenshaw was announced as the new executive producer of EastEnders. [2] [6] [7] Clenshaw took over from Jon Sen, and his first credited episode as executive producer was episode 6497, originally broadcast on 2 June 2022 and featured cameos from Charles, Prince of Wales and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall as part of the Platinum Jubilee of Elizabeth II celebrations. [8] [9] [10] During his tenure, Clenshaw oversaw the returns of Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), Yolande Trueman (Angela Wynter), Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa), Bianca Jackson (Patsy Palmer), Jane Beale (Laurie Brett), Chrissie Watts (Tracy-Ann Oberman), David Wicks (Michael French), Ruby Allen (Louisa Lytton) and Mickey Miller (Joe Swash), the recasts of Amy Mitchell (Ellie Dadd), Freddie Slater (Bobby Brazier), Elaine Peacock (Harriet Thorpe) and Penny Branning (Kitty Castledine), the departure of Mick Carter (Danny Dyer), as well as the reintroduction of Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins), who returned from the dead after 25 years. EastEnders is a British television soap opera created by Julia Smith and Tony Holland which has been broadcast on BBC One since February 1985. Set in the fictional borough of Walford in the East End of London, the programme follows the stories of local residents and their families as they go about their daily lives. Within eight months of the show's original launch, it had reached the number one spot in BARB's television ratings, and has consistently remained among the top-rated series in Britain. Four EastEnders episodes are listed in the all-time top 10 most-watched programmes in the UK, including the number one spot, when over 30 million watched the 1986 Christmas Day episode. EastEnders has been important in the history of British television drama, tackling many subjects that are considered to be controversial or taboo in British culture, and portraying a social life previously unseen on UK mainstream television.
Michelle Danielle Collins is an English actress. She is best known for her role as Cindy Beale in the BBC soap opera EastEnders, and has also appeared as Stella Price in ITV's Coronation Street. Her other notable TV roles include the BBC dramas Real Women (1998–1999), Sunburn (1999–2000) and Two Thousand Acres of Sky (2001–2003).

Cindy Beale is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Michelle Collins. She first appeared 10 May 1988 and originally departed on 27 December 1990, before returning as one of the show's central antagonists from 13 October 1992 until her exit episode on 10 April 1998; the character supposedly died off-screen during childbirth in prison on 5 November 1998. During her first stint on the show, Cindy embarked on a prolonged relationship with her would-be husband Ian Beale. Lucy Beale is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders. The character was played by Eva Brittin-Snell, Casey Anne Rothery, Melissa Suffield, and Hetti Bywater. Lucy was introduced in December 1993 as the baby daughter of Ian and Cindy Beale. She was the twin sister of Peter Beale, and had three half siblings, older brother Steven Beale, younger sister Cindy Williams and younger brother Bobby Beale.

Thomas "Rocky" Cotton is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Brian Conley. He was introduced under the alias Terry Cant, the estranged father of Sonia Fowler in episode 6274, broadcast on 18 May 2021, after his casting details were announced in February of that year. He was initially billed as the "ultimate people pleaser" and a charmer. Dana Monroe is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera EastEnders, played by Barbara Smith. Smith auditioned for the role over Zoom due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on television and was cast as Dana, a love interest for established character Bobby Beale, making her first appearance on 1 April 2021. She was initially cast in a 6-month guest stint, but was promoted to a regular cast member and had her family introduced to the soap. She was overjoyed to have been cast due to having been a fan of the soap since her youth. Dana has been shown to be a bubbly, generous and likeable character. She was introduced as a member of the Knight family; the daughter of George Knight and older sister of Anna Knight. Initially billed as a charismatic ex-boxer and protective father, the character debuted alongside his girlfriend Elaine Peacock and daughters Gina and Anna. "The Six" is a storyline from the BBC soap opera EastEnders. The storyline began in episode 6649, broadcast on 20 February 2023, which featured the show's first flashforward sequence at the end of the episode. The scene showed six female EastEnders characters, Denise Fox, Linda Carter, Kathy Beale, Sharon Watts, Stacey Slater, and Suki Panesar in The Queen Victoria public house on Christmas Day standing around an unidentified male body lying on the floor, who they presume to be dead. Events leading up to Christmas that year put each character in the frame to be the potential murderer and several male characters to be the victim. The storyline was intended to be written a different type of "whodunit" mystery, as both the victim and the murderer were kept as a tight secret.
"EastEnders Live" is an upcoming live episode of the British television soap opera EastEnders, which will broadcast on BBC One in February 2025. The live episode is to celebrate the programme's 40th anniversary on the BBC. This will be the fourth occasion where EastEnders was broadcast live; the first live episode was broadcast in 2010, a second episode broadcast in 2012 containing live inserts and a live week in 2015. It will be produced by Chris Clenshaw and a director and writer is yet to be confirmed. In a first for the programme, it will contain interactivity with viewers, who will vote to decide the outcome of a storyline. The anniversary celebrations will be Clenshaw's last episodes as executive producer.
