Christopher Remkes is an Australian gymnast who has competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
An orphan, Christopher Remkes's date of birth is listed as 3 September 1996. [1] According to the orphanage that took care of him, he was abandoned as a two-day-old in a hospital in Bacolod, Philippines. [2] At two years old, Christopher Remkes was adopted [3] by Mike and Dora Remkes who brought him to Australia.
He spent his childhood in Happy Valley, a suburb of Adelaide [2] and started getting involved in gymnastics at the age of five. [4] He has an adoptive brother and sister who were adopted from Manila. He tried playing other sports but eventually focused in gymnastics. For his primary education, Remkes attended Aberfoyle Park and later Ascot Park which maintains a specialist gymnastics program. Remkes also went to Hamilton Secondary College before moving to the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra in 2015. [2]
Remkes competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in the men's vault event. He managed to win a gold for Australia, ending a 24-year Commonwealth Games drought for his adopted nation in the event since Bret Hudson won a gold in the vault event For Australia at the 1994 Commonwealth Games. [4] After his Commonwealth stint, Remkes has expressed his goal of competing in the 2020 Summer Olympics. [2] However, he tore his ACL at the 2019 World Cup competition in Doha [5] and although he was recovered enough to be on Australia's 2020 World Cup Team, [6] he was not chosen for the Olympics team, which had only one slot for Men's Artistic Gymnastics. Elsabeth Ann Black is a Canadian artistic gymnast. She is a three-time Olympian, having represented her country at the 2012, 2016, and 2020 Olympic Games. She is the 2017 World all-around silver medalist, making her the first Canadian gymnast to win a world all-around medal, and she led the Canadian women's gymnastics team to a bronze medal in the 2022 World Championships team final, the first world team medal won by a Canadian gymnastics team. She won a silver medal on the balance beam at the 2022 World Championships. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games all-around champion, a two-time Pan American Games all-around champion, and a six-time Canadian national all-around champion. At the 2020 Olympic Games, Black placed fourth in the balance beam final, the highest placement in the Olympics for a female Canadian gymnast.
Denis Mikhailovich Ablyazin is a Russian artistic gymnast. Ablyazin is Olympic Champion 2020 in Tokyo and a seven-time Olympic Games medalist. At the 2012 London Olympics he won silver in vault and bronze in floor. At the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics, he won silver with the Russian men's team, a silver in vault and bronze in rings.
Elissa Rebecca "Ellie" Downie is a retired artistic gymnast who has represented Great Britain. She is the all-around 2017 European gymnastics champion, the first gymnast to win a major all-around title for Great Britain.

He is the 2019 World silver medalist and the 2018 World bronze medalist on the pommel horse. He is the 2018 Asian Games pommel horse champion and the 2019 Asian all-around champion. He is a two-time (2017, 2019) Summer Universiade pommel horse champion.
Alice Nicole Kinsella is an English artistic gymnast and member of the British national gymnastics team. She represented Great Britain at the 2020 Summer Olympics and won a bronze medal in the team event, and was part of the Great Britain team that achieved the highest positions ever achieved in the same event at the 2022 World Championships (silver) and the 2023 European Championships (gold). Kinsella won a Commonwealth Games team title as part of England's gold-winning team all-around squad of 2022.
Artur Grachyevich Dalaloyan born 26 April 1996 is a Russian artistic gymnast who represented ROC at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He was part of the teams who won gold at the 2020 Olympic Games and 2019 World Championships and silver at the 2018 World Championships. Individually Dalaloyan is the 2018 World All-Around Champion and the 2019 World All-Around silver medalist. He is a nine-time World medalist and a five-time European champion.
Dominick "Dom" Adam Cunningham is an English-born elite artistic gymnast representing Ireland since 2022, having previously represented Great Britain and England. He won a team gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the Individual Floor Gold at the 2018 European Championships in Glasgow.
Artem Olegovich Dolgopyat is a Ukrainian-born Israeli artistic gymnast. He is the 2020 Olympic champion on floor exercise. He also won two silver medals at the 2017 and 2019 World Championships on the floor exercise, and is the 2020 European champion of that exercise.
Georgia Godwin is an Australian artistic gymnast. She is the 2022 Commonwealth Games all-around and vault champion and the team, uneven bars and balance beam silver-medalist. She is also the 2018 Commonwealth Games all-around silver medalist and the team and uneven bars bronze medalist. She represented Australia at the 2020 Summer Olympics and was the third reserve for the all-around final. She is also a two-time World Cup silver medalist.
Carlos Edriel Poquiz Yulo is a Filipino artistic gymnast who has won multiple medals at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. He is the first Filipino and the first male Southeast Asian gymnast to medal at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships with his floor exercise bronze medal finish in 2018, and the first ever gold medal for the Philippines in 2019 on the same apparatus. Joe Fraser is an English artistic gymnast. He is the 2022 European all-around and parallel bars champion and the 2019 world champion on the parallel bars, the first British gymnast to ever win gold in any of these events. As a member of the British Senior team since 2017, he has also won team gold and silver, and bronze on the pommel horse, in the European Artistic Gymnastic Championships. Representing England in the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Fraser won three gold medals in team, pommel horse and parallel bars.

Naveen Natascha Daries is a South African artistic gymnast who represented her country at the 2017, 2018 and 2019 World Championships, as well as the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She took the bronze medal in the all-around at the 2021 African Championships, earning a continental berth to the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
