Chuck Holz (born 1952) is a Republican member of the Iowa House of Representatives,representing the 5th district. [2] Wheeler was first elected in a November 3,2015 special election held to fill a vacancy created when Republican Representative Chuck Soderberg resigned upon moving out of district for a new job. Holz was a member of the Le Mars School Board for 18 years,including 2 years as board president. [3]

Iowa's 4th congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Iowa that covers the western border of the state,including Sioux City and Council Bluffs. Up north,it extends eastwards into Ames,Boone,Fort Dodge,and Marshalltown. It has been represented by Republican Randy Feenstra since 2021,who defeated longtime incumbent Steve King in 2020. With a Cook Partisan Voting Index rating of R+16,it is the most Republican district in Iowa,a state with an all-Republican congressional delegation.
Chuck Soderberg was the Iowa State Representative from the 5th District. He served in the Iowa House of Representatives from 2005 through 2015. Soderberg was born in Burt,Iowa. He has a B.A. in education from Westmar College.
Dwayne Arlan Alons was an American politician. A Republican,he sat in the Iowa House of Representatives from 1999 to 2014,representing the 5th district until 2003,and the 4th district thereafter. He was a brigadier general in the Iowa Air National Guard and served as chief of staff at its headquarters. Alons died of cancer on November 29,2014. He was succeeded in office by John Kooiker.

Incumbent Democratic United States Senator John Culver ran for reelection to a second term,but lost to Republican nominee Chuck Grassley,the United States Congressman from Iowa's 3rd congressional district.
