The Three Degrees is an American female vocal group formed circa 1963 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Although 16 women have been members over the years, the group has always been a trio. The current line-up consists of Valerie Holiday, Helen Scott, and Freddi Poole. Tabitha King is currently filling in for Helen Scott, who had to take a break due to COVID-19. The group were particularly successful in the UK, achieving 13 Top 50 hit singles between 1974 and 1985.

Arabesque are an all-girl trio formed at the height of the European disco era in 1977 in Frankfurt, West Germany. The group's changing lineup worked with the German composer Jean Frankfurter and became especially popular in Japan.

"Shake Me, Wake Me " is a song recorded by the American quartet Four Tops for their third studio album, On Top (1966). It was released in February 1966 as a 7" vinyl single through Motown records. It was written and produced by Brian Holland, Lamont Dozier, and Eddie Holland. A gospel rock track, its lyrics detail a relationship that has ended. It has since been regarded as one of Four Tops' most successful singles ever. It charted moderately well in both the United States and Canada, and became the group's fifth consecutive entry to chart within the top five of the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Four Tops has performed "Shake Me, Wake Me " on various occasions throughout their careers and have included it on several greatest hits albums, including on The Four Tops Greatest Hits (1967) and The Ultimate Collection (1997).
"Touch Me Like That" is a dance-pop song performed by Dannii Minogue and Jason Nevins. The song was written by Jason Nevins, Lisa Molina, Sylvester James and James Wirrick. It samples the melody of the disco song "You Make Me Feel ", originally performed by Sylvester. The song is the sixth and final single from Minogue's fifth album Club Disco (2007).

Fly High Little Butterfly is a 1979 single by the European disco group Arabesque. The song, like previous singles failed to chart in Germany, but became a huge success in Japan. Heike Rimbeau sang the lead, accompanied by Karen Ann Tepperis and Michaela Rose as backing singers. The song tells the story of a "little butterfly" who has a passion for singing and dancing from a very young age, and strives to be like her mother. The butterfly eventually reaches her goal.
Michaela Rose is a German singer. She was an original member of the Arabesque disco group that started in 1977, and is the only original member still active in it. As of 2020, she continues to perform with the group, now known as "Arabesque featuring Michaela Rose".
"Marigot Bay" is a song recorded in 1980 by the German disco group Arabesque. It is the title track from the band's studio album of the same name. It was released as a single in late 1980. It is most notable for being the group's first and only song to reach the Top 10 in their native country. It peaked at number 8 in West Germany, where it remained on the charts for 22 weeks, and at number 17 in Austria.
