City Sleeps was an American rock band, formed in 2005.
The band was originally called Smugface and played an aggressive, somewhat progressive style of alternative rock in line with the nu metal sound of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Around 2004 they changed their sound and image, and subsequently their name was switched to City Sleeps.
Smugface consisted of core members Adriel Garcia (guitar), John Whitney (drums), and Elliott Sharp (vocals); early demos—produced by Rick Beato from Universal recording act Billionaire—got the band considerable attention in underground rock circles, as well as on the popular music site MP3.com. Members of alternative metal outfit Cold became aware of the group and were impressed, eventually bringing them to the attention of Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst, who almost signed Smugface to his Interscope imprint, Flawless Records.
Things were slowly changing internally, however, and by 2003, Smugface were noticeably transitioning into a melodic rock band, with big-sounding guitars and near-pop choruses. This new sound led to the band being noticed by producer John Feldmann (of the ska-punk band Goldfinger), who had previously worked successfully with similar groups like the Used and Story of the Year. He contacted the group in 2004 and the band members flew out to Los Angeles to record with him. City Sleeps were soon signed to Maverick/Warner Bros. Records, and by the following year, they had completed their debut studio album, entitled Walker's Ridge, which was scheduled to be released in early 2006.
However, the label dropped the band before the album was released. Near the end of the year, bassist Brad Allen (ex-Family Force 5) stepped in to replace Mars Davlan, completing the quintet of Allen, Sharp, Garcia, Whitney, and guitarist Steve Miloszweki (formerly of Reveille). City Sleeps ultimately signed with New Jersey-based hardcore label Trustkill Records in mid-2007, releasing their album—renamed Not an Angel—in October. They followed the album's release with a tour in the U.K. with Welsh rock band Funeral for a Friend.
On February 4, 2008, City Sleeps announced the departure of bassist Brad Allen. Due to the departure of Allen, Milo switched to bass. City Sleeps then toured with Drowning Pool & Saliva; they also filmed a new video for the song "Not an Angel" with director Darren Doane (Deftones).
On September 5, 2008, the band announced the departure of lead singer Ely Dye. On September 12, 2008, Milo announced that he too would be leaving the band.
On May 10, 2013, Adriel Garcia announced that there will be a final album release with the help from fans via Kickstarter. [1] The album would contain unreleased b-sides and demos recorded from 2004 to 2007 with songs written for Not an Angel and beyond. The album will feature the original lineup from their debut album Not an Angel with Ely Dye on vocals, Adriel Garcia on Guitar & London on drums. On December 24, 2013, the band released their final studio album Chariots and Riots on Adriel Garcia's Bandcamp page. [5]

Evildead is an American thrash metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1986. The band was originally composed of members of two former bands, Agent Steel and Abattoir, including guitarist Juan Garcia, who is their only remaining original member. During their initial nine-year run, Evildead released two studio albums: Annihilation of Civilization (1989) and The Underworld (1991). Evildead was plagued by extended inactivity due to lineup changes and problems with making a third album. This resulted in their official breakup in 1995. After a short-lived reunion from 2008 to 2012, the band reformed once again in 2016, and released their third studio album United $tate$ of Anarchy in October 2020. They are planning on releasing their fourth studio album in 2024.
The Dykeenies are a Scottish indie rock band from Cumbernauld, formed in 2005. The group consists of brothers Brian Henderson and Andrew Henderson, along with Steven Ramsay and John Kerr. Since their formation, they have released one studio album, Nothing Means Everything, accompanied by three singles. After a worldwide tour, the band began work on their second album, which was released in October 2011. They broke up in January 2012, before re-forming for two performances in 2017. The Dykeenies released their EP 'I Wanted To Show Her All The Beautiful Things in the World' on 11 May 2018. The title of the 2018 EP was taken from Bret Ellis-Easton's 'American Psycho'.

Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock was the title of an unreleased 1972 autobiographical album by the British rock band The Who. In the liner notes for the Who's 1974 rarities collection Odds & Sods, guitarist and lead songwriter Pete Townshend said, "I had an idea once for a new album about the history of The Who called Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock. That idea later blossomed into Quadrophenia." The sessions for the album spanned from 19 May to 6 June at Olympic Studios in London. Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock was to be produced by The Who and Glyn Johns and scheduled for release in October 1972, but although the album was nearly completed the band felt as though it sounded too much like their 1971 LP Who's Next. Townshend later stated that Rock Is Dead—Long Live Rock was also going to be a TV special about The Who.

The album To the Stars is said to contain tracks from DeLonge's "personal stash", which include songs originally intended to be recorded with Blink-182, as well as tracks originally meant for Angels & Airwaves. The eight-song album was released on vinyl, CD and digital formats.
