Cleaner is an upcoming British action thriller film directed by Martin Campbell, written by Simon Uttley, Paul Andrew Williams, and Matthew Orton, and starring Daisy Ridley, Taz Skylar and Clive Owen. Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant are producers for Anton.
The film is scheduled to be released in theaters on 21 February 2025.
When activists take over an energy company’s annual gala held at the Shard in London, some more radical members of their group take hostages and threaten to blow up the building if police intervene. [1] A dishonorably discharged but highly trained ex-soldier, who works as the building's window cleaner, attempts to save the hostages when she learns one of them is her older brother.
The film is directed by Martin Campbell and is being produced by Anton, with Sebastien Raybaud and Callum Grant as producers. [2]
In May 2023, Daisy Ridley was confirmed in the lead role. [3] Later that month, Clive Owen joined the cast. [4] In October 2023, Taz Skylar joined the cast. [5]
Principal photography was reported by Screen Daily to have started in London in September 2023. [6] First look images from Ridley filming in London appeared in the media in October 2023. [7]
Sky Original Film acquired the rights to the film with plans for an early 2025 release on Sky Cinema. [8] The film is scheduled to be released on 21 February 2025. [9]
Danielle Riley Keough is an American actress and the eldest grandchild of Elvis Presley. She made her feature film debut in a supporting part in the musical biopic The Runaways (2010), portraying Marie Currie. Keough subsequently starred in the independent thriller The Good Doctor (2011), before being cast in a minor role in Steven Soderbergh's comedy film Magic Mike (2012). Martin Campbell is a New Zealand film and television director, based in the United Kingdom. He is best known for his works in the action and thriller film genres, including the James Bond films GoldenEye (1995) and Casino Royale (2006), The Mask of Zorro (1998) and its sequel The Legend of Zorro (2005), Vertical Limit (2000), and The Foreigner (2017). Clive Owen is an English actor. He first gained recognition in the United Kingdom for playing the lead role in the ITV series Chancer from 1990 to 1991. Noomi Rapace is a Swedish actress.
