ClubTelco is an Australian Telecommunications and Internet Service Provider founded in 2010, that provides telecommunications services to consumers and small businesses around Australia. Competing with the likes of Telstra, Optus, iiNet, Dodo and Internode. ClubTelco's is owned by Vocus Group, a publicly listed company on the Australian Securities Exchange. [1] It serves over 120,000 customers. [2]

Telstra Corporation Limited is Australia's largest telecommunications company which builds and operates telecommunications networks and markets voice, mobile, internet access, pay television and other products and services.

Singtel Optus Pty Limited d/b/a Optus is the second largest telecommunications company in Australia. It is a wholly owned subsidiary of Singtel since 2001. The company primarily trades under the Optus brand, while maintaining several wholly owned subsidiary brands, such as Virgin Mobile Australia in the mobile telephony market, Uecomm in the network services market and Alphawest in the ICT services sector.

iiNet Australian internet service provider

iiNet Limited is Australia's second-largest internet service provider with more than 1.3 million customers as of 15 August 2011. It was acquired by TPG Telecom in September 2015 for $1.56 billion, but retained its retail brand name in the market. Its subsidiaries include Internode, Westnet, AAPT Limited, Adam Internet, TransACT and Netspace. Their focus is primarily on ADSL-based Internet access, using their own ADSL2+ infrastructure, reselling Telstra ADSL services and more recently in reselling the NBN. iiNet also provides optical-fibre, dial-up, and voice services.

In the summer of 2011, the company merged with Eftel in a reverse takeover, [2] beginning what was expected to be a significant round of consolidation in the Australian ISP industry. [3]

Eftel

Eftel Limited is an internet service provider and telecommunications provider in Australia, with approximately 120,000 active accounts. It was established in 1999. Eftel offers a range of services including: DSL and dial-up Internet access, web hosting and telephony services - to the retail, corporate and wholesale telecommunications markets.

A reverse takeover or reverse merger takeover is the acquisition of a public company by a private company so that the private company can bypass the lengthy and complex process of going public. The transaction typically requires reorganization of capitalization of the acquiring company. Sometimes, conversely, the private company is bought by the public listed company through an asset swap and share issue.

Following the acquisition of Eftel by M2 Group in 2013, [4] ClubTelco operated as a subsidiary brand of M2, until M2 itself merged [5] with Vocus Group on 5 February 2016.

M2 Group

M2 Group Ltd was an Australian retailer and wholesaler of telecommunications services as well as power, gas and insurance products.

Vocus Group Limited, formerly known as Vocus Communications, is an international telecommunications company headquartered in Sydney, Australia. Founded by James Spenceley as a wholesale & business telecommunications provider, Vocus provides retail, wholesale and corporate telecommunications services across Australia and New Zealand. Vocus offers Data Network services like Internet, Dark Fibre, IP WAN, Unified Communications and Telephony and Cloud Services to mid, large and corporate businesses direct and also acts as a wholesaler. The company owns and operates 18 Data Centres across Australia and New Zealand and has an onshore Network Operations Centre (NOC) run by the engineers who built the network.

As such, it has over 671,000 ADSL2+ subscribers, 358,000 landline subscribers and 360,000 mobile subscribers, and owns the second largest ADSL2+ network in Australia, consisting of 391 ADSL2+ DSLAMs.

SEA-ME-WE3 or South-East Asia - Middle East - Western Europe 3 is an optical submarine telecommunications cable linking those regions and is the longest in the world. Completed in late 2000, it is led by France Telecom and China Telecom, and is administered by Singtel, a telecommunications operator owned by the Government of Singapore. The Consortium is formed by 92 other investors from the telecom industry. It was commissioned in March 2000.

Cision company

Cision Ltd. is a public relations and earned media software company and services provider. The company is incorporated in the Cayman Islands and has its headquarters in Chicago, Illinois; it serves clients worldwide. The company went public via reverse merger in June 2017. In addition to its web-based PR and earned media software as a service (SaaS) suite the Cision Communications Cloud, the company owns online publicity and media services PRNewswire, PRWeb, Bulletin Intelligence, L'Argus de la presse, Help a Reporter Out (HARO), CEDROM-SNI and Prime Research. MyRepublic is a multinational Internet company headquartered in Singapore. The company was formed to leverage Singapore's Next Generation Nationwide Broadband Network. Since its initial launch in 2011, the company has expanded to three other countries - Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. MyRepublic primarily offers fibre broadband services in all four countries as well as ADSL plans in Australia, VDSL services in New Zealand, and cable TV packages in Indonesia. The company has a combined subscriber base of 200,000 across the four countries.

Vocus (software) former business enterprise headquartered in Beltsville, US

Vocus was a public relations software company based in Beltsville, Maryland, United States, serving clients worldwide from 1992 to 2014. In addition to its web-based PR software suites, the company owns the online publicity services, PRWeb and Help a Reporter Out (HARO). Vocus was founded in 1992 by Rick Rudman and Bob Lentz and was a publicly held company until June 2014 when it was taken private by Chicago-based private equity company GTCR. The company operates additional offices in the United States, Europe and Asia. Since late 2014, the company merged with Cision AB to form Cision Inc. as the succeeding company.

James Spenceley

James Spenceley is an Australian investor, award-winning entrepreneur and company director. He is the founder of Vocus Communications, the CEO and co-founder of MHOR asset management and an active Venture Capital investor. He is also the Chairman of Airtasker, Chairman of Silver Heritage Group and Non-Executive Director of Indoor Skydive Australia.
