CoCo was a Japanese pop group which consisted of Mikiyo Ohno, Azusa Senou, Rieko Miura, Erika Haneda, and Maki Miyamae.

History

CoCo released their first single, "Equal Romance", on September 6, 1989. CoCo had a couple of their songs ("Equal Romance," "Omoide ga Ippai," and "Mou Nakanaide") as theme songs for the anime series Ranma ½ . Azusa left the group in 1992 and went solo, while the other four stayed behind. Rieko and Maki released solo works but chose to remain in the group.

CoCo joined Ribbon, Qlair and a few solo idols for the "Otomejuku" concert. They performed Shochuu Omimai Moushiagemasu, among other songs.

Their final single "You're My Treasure" was released before they disbanded on August 3, 1994.

Soft Ballet was a Japanese electronic group formed in 1987. The group consisted of three members, Maki Fujii, Ken Morioka, and Ryoichi Endo, though they employed extra support members for live shows. While Soft Ballet weren't necessarily chart toppers, they had a strong cult following and were considered pioneers of modern electronic music in Japan in the 1990s.

Onyanko Club was a large all-girl Japanese pop idol group in the 1980s. Some members of the group participated in spin-off groups, such as Nyangilas, Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi and Ushirogami Hikaretai. Many of the latter two groups' songs were used as theme songs of the popular 80s anime series High School! Kimengumi and Tsuide ni Tonchinkan. Several big-name idols stemmed from the group; one of the best known being Shizuka Kudo. The group was produced by Hiroshi Ishida and Kazuji Kasai, both of whom were producers of Fuji TV's show Yūyake Nyan Nyan.

Yukiko Iwai, also known by the nickname Yūyu, is a Japanese singer and actress born 26 May 1968 in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Iwai was a member of the all-girl pop group Onyanko Club, and she was the shortest of all the members at 150 centimetres. She was also half of the pop group Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi, a spin-off group of Onyanko Club. She graduated from Kaetsu Women's Junior High and High School, but left Kaetsu Women's Junior College before she finished. She has an older sister, Akiko, who is four years older than her and is said to look just like her.

Eri Nitta is a Japanese singer, actress, lyricist, and tarento. She made her professional debut as the fourth member of the all-female singing group Onyanko Club in 1985. She made her solo debut with the hit song Winter Opera Glasses on January 1, 1986. Nitta performed the opening and ending theme songs for the first 14 episodes of the Little Women anime television series from Nippon Animation.

Mamiko Takai is a Japanese idol from the eighties, who debuted in 1985 with the J-pop girl band Onyanko Club, and its first sub-group, duo Ushiroyubi Sasaregumi with her co-worker Yukiko Iwai. She quit those two bands in 1987, becoming a solo artist, and released four albums before marrying producer Yasushi Akimoto and subsequently retiring. Her older sister Masayo made her record debut in July 1986 as a part of a 20-member dance group named Dee-Dee. She has two other younger sisters.

It was released on December 1, 1993 by Victor Entertainment as the album's second single. It is Hirose's most successful single to date, selling two million copies in Japan alone. Romance no Kamisama was also the first of Hirose's songs to be featured by the Alpen company, a Japanese winter sports store, in their winter advertisements, resulting in the Japanese public affectionately naming Hirose the "Queen of Winter".

Shizuka Kudo Best is the tenth compilation album by Japanese singer Shizuka Kudo. It was released on December 5, 2001, through Pony Canyon. The album is part of the label's greatest hits series My Kore!ction. It was later released digitally on July 1, 2012. An abridged version of the compilation, as per the My Kore!Lite series, was released on May 19, 2010. All sixteen songs were remastered digitally for the album. The My Kore!Lite edition was re-released on June 15, 2016 in Ultimate HQCD (UHQCD) format.
